I've been chewing on what you wrote. What happens if you're betting on some offshore site based in Russia and our local thugs try to demand access to their records? 🙂
Those guys couldn't care less about Americans, our government, or our laws. 🙂
And honestly, most other countries probably feel the exact same way about us.
So, for the people here at home, the only move left is trying to scare everyone into submission with massive fines and stuff like that.

electricwolf21 said:I’ve already tested NordVPN on my phone and it works like a charm. However, that only works if they force our local ISPs to block access to foreign sportsbooks while simultaneously demanding those books stop recognizing us as players.
Regarding deposits and withdrawals, I stick to PayPal and using PayPal via a Mastercard, because the contract clearly states that no third party will ever have access to the account. After all, even our domestic bookies use PayPal, so I don't see an issue there.
The only real problem arises if the international books decide to stop accepting or outright close accounts for US players—something I’ve experienced firsthand (and painfully) with DraftKings. For me, the bottom line is just that they don't mess with BetMGM or maybe bet365 for certain things. But honestly, anyone who is truly desperate to stay in the game will easily find a trusted contact in another country to run an account using the VPN method mentioned at the start of this post.
That's just my take on the whole situation. Now we just wait to see what the regulators pull next.

You explained that perfectly. People should be copying this down; these are options that nobody can actually prohibit.
So, Scenario A: where they try to block access to foreign books by forcing local ISPs to shut them down.
Scenario B: if the international books decide to axe US player accounts, someone simply opens an account abroad and connects using the method described at the beginning of your post.
And nobody can stop that.
There was plenty of talk about this at the start of the year when they introduced that extra tax. Everything was quiet until now, when they started publishing threats about punishing anyone betting with foreign books.
They probably realized halfway through the year that they’re losing more money than they’re making from that tax, so now they've decided to try and scare people.
I'm sure someone will "fold" for the others, but I wouldn't go back to betting with our local domestic books in this lifetime, let alone another one.🙂
I also know some people will buckle under these threats and stop betting with foreign books out of fear, but leaving my money with those thieves is the last thing I'll ever do.
I'm more worried about whether my parlays will hit than I am about their little threats.🙂

Kyle Ward said:Total bottom-feeders—avoid them. They only pay out via bank transfer. That means before any money hits your account, some government bureaucrat at the bank flags the transaction and skims a 1% fee. Plus, they see exactly where the cash is coming from. With all the tax madness going on lately, you don't want that kind of paper trail.

How did you handle your deposit earlier? If you didn't use a bank transfer, maybe that's why they’re limiting your withdrawal options to just that one way.

I’m looking into DraftKings—anyone have experience with them? From what I’ve seen, their odds on favorites look decent enough. I don't play huge stakes, so I doubt I'd ever run into any limit issues 🙂 Basically, can Americans use Skrill for deposits and withdrawals without any headaches, or is it all pretty smooth?
If someone could give me a quick rundown, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Personally, I actually dig their odds and how they handle settlements. Half the time, I’m snagging better lines there than I am on Bet365.
Arguing over lines and payouts is pointless. Everyone has a different take, and it really just comes down to what you're betting on.

Does Bet365 offer double chance betting for handball? I can't find it anywhere, just the standard 1X2 options.
It's pretty pathetic that they don't have it.

Does anyone know how Bet365 handles a match that gets called off at halftime?
Specifically looking at the Boca Juniors vs. River Plate game.
I had Boca winning, and since the second half never even started, I figured it would settle. It’s been a day now and the bet is still just sitting there open on my account.

Thanks.

Bet365 is offering a bonus up to $100, so I have a few questions about how it works:

Bets placed on FanDuel, Over/Under and Moneyline markets, both pre-match and In-Play will not count towards the turnover requirement stated in condition 3.

Regarding this Over/Under thing—does that mean if I bet on the over or under for a soccer match, it won't count toward the wagering requirements?
Same goes for the baseball part. If I bet on the moneyline winner, does that also fail to count toward the rollover?

Thanks.

Nicholas Patel52 said:Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid - Atletico to advance at 2.70 on SS (2.30 with taxes) (bet365 is 2.25)

The latest news is that Karim Benzema is out, along with Gareth Bale and Luka Modrić, plus Marcelo is suspended. Massive blows for Real Madrid, especially since they haven't beaten Atletico in their last seven matches. Illarramendi will likely have to step in for Modrić, but he simply doesn't have the quality or the engine to drive this squad. In attack, maybe Chicharito or Jesse steps up? Instead of Benzema, who fits the system perfectly, or Bale, who would be the fastest man on the pitch. Real is facing a brutal match. It’s ridiculous that the odds are 1.40 for them to advance; honestly, they aren't favorites anymore.

image

Atletico is fully ready, aside from Mandžukić, though I think he might play at least part of the game. If Real concedes first, this match turns into a war zone. Any draw—1:1 or whatever—and Atletico moves on. If it stays 0:0, we go to extra time, where Atletico might even have a slight edge because, seriously, who does Real bring off the bench? Their subs are already exhausted on the pitch. Plus, what if someone else gets injured during the game? It's highly likely given how many heavy tackles and yellow cards we'll see.

Just so you know, I saw odds of 2.36 and 2.45 at some sportsbooks without any tax added.
Fine, if you really want to play the comparison game... 😉

Just Google "Asian Handicap" and study up. It'll make sense once you do.

Sportsbooks like Marathon work perfectly for tipsters—like those guys on our most famous site (you know the ones)—because they usually offer higher odds than other books. It makes their stats look way better than they actually are. Everyone knows the deal with that place regarding account limits and all that nonsense, so the "risk" isn't even real, but who cares? As long as they can pump up their winning percentages. In reality, no serious bettor can play there for long without getting flagged, yet they keep pushing it. They don't limit 🙂

Robert Long6 said:So I figured I'd try this since there's no other way, but can I actually do this while my account is frozen? Isn't the whole point to link PayPal to a card? Plus, when I need to verify, I have to see how much was deducted to confirm it's me, but I can't do anything with the account right now...

I honestly can't let these posts go by without saying something.
First you say you want to withdraw to a bank account and ask people about the verification code, then once they answer, you suddenly claim your account is blocked.
You didn't realize the account was blocked when you were asking about the code, apparently. 🙂
What a mess. 🙂
Regarding PayPal, I'm not certain, but if you open an account, you might be able to withdraw from the sportsbook even without a card. It just depends on the site's rules—some require you to make an initial deposit via PayPal before you can withdraw to it. Regardless, you can still hold funds in a PayPal account without having a linked card.

cosmicharbor52 said:Since I’m skipping the whole hassle of transferring money from my bank account or using cards, I want to know the easiest way to deposit and withdraw from offshore sportsbooks. So far, I’ve just been using Paysafecards directly on certain sites, but now I want to cash out some winnings. I’d need to set up a PayPal account first, move the funds there, and then somehow get it to an American retail spot—like a 7-Eleven or something where you can grab cash without even placing a bet—to pick it up in person. Or is there a simpler way?
Also, does the money hit the PayPal account instantly, or do I have to wait a few hours or a day for it to clear? I'm assuming it's immediate, but I'm asking because I'm new to this.😉
Thanks for understanding...

If you had actually read the last few pages of this thread, everything would be crystal clear. But apparently, reading is too much work for some people. And it looks like it's even harder to check the posts right above yours where someone already answered the question about withdrawing from PayPal.🙂
To answer you: money hits the sportsbook from PayPal instantly, but moving it from the sportsbook back to PayPal depends entirely on the site. I recently withdrew from Bet365 and it cleared in less than 24 hours. Put in a little effort and you'll figure it out.

Just head down to the bank and ask for official statements. That saved my skin once!

I don't actually need it; I was just commenting. It's baffling—don't they already have all the info from my ID? But hey, good to know for whenever it eventually comes up. What kind of statement are we talking about exactly? Honestly, I can't remember the last time I even stepped foot in a branch. I do everything through online banking. Maybe once every few years I'll swing by to pick up a new card if they don't mail it out. I'm assuming it's just a statement showing the balance and the recent transactions.

They're being ridiculous with this nonsense. Isn't a driver's license or a passport enough? And what if I live with my parents and don't have a single bill in my own name? What then?

I found my answers in the Skrill MC files. As for those bookmaker reviews—isn't there already an endless supply online? Just throw a quick search into Google and you're set.

I don't know, for instance, the over/under lines on MLS matches are consistently higher than what we see at our local US sportsbooks, especially when betting live.
Which specific bets have you noticed have lower odds?

I put three tennis matches on a parlay and the odds on FanDuel were 1.96, while on DraftKings they were only 1.74 for the exact same thing. Even the total payout for those three legs was better on FanDuel than at any of our domestic shops. Plus, I often find my ticket has better odds on FanDuel than on DraftKings.
Best offshore sportsbooks for online betting? in Betting Forum ·
DraftKings is becoming a joke with these odds. It’s ridiculous how much lower their lines are compared to, say, FanDuel. Sure, they have great live coverage, but half the time the actual prices are just laughable—at least for the markets I play. Not sure if anyone else is seeing this too.

Because of all these taxes and stuff, I decided to switch to offshore sportsbooks..

Based on your experiences, which one is actually the best?
The better the soccer odds (goals, player props, player + match combos if possible), the better... also need decent NBA lines, I play those sometimes..

Just read the last few pages of this thread. Everything you need is right there.

I started verifying a debit card for my foreign currency account on PayPal, and both the account and the card are in the same currency. So, I head down to JPMorgan Chase to grab a statement. I see the transaction—the amount is x,yz. Just to be safe, I go to the teller window. After asking me the same thing three times, the woman tells me she sees exactly what I see on the statement, but she can't confirm if that x,yz total includes some random bank fee or not.
Fine. I get home and call JPMorgan Chase. I explain everything—PayPal, verification, the amount, the potential fees...
The agent goes to check, comes back on the line, and tells me there's no fee and that the amount on my statement should be the exact amount that hit PayPal.
So, I log into PayPal, type x,yz into the box, and hit confirm.

invalid entry...

now what?

If you mess up the amount a few times, they'll lock you out.
If that happened to you, just scan your ID or something and send it over to them.
That's how I got through it once.🙂
I tried typing in the amount immediately without double-checking, it was wrong, and they blocked me right away.
