I’ve been chewing on the idea of getting an SSD for ages, I gotta admit. The only catch is I'd have to reinstall everything from scratch, and since I really need to make the jump to 64-bit, I'll probably have to wipe the whole system anyway—which is honestly the worst part of the whole process. Does it even make sense to just grab that GPU mentioned above without the SSD? Also, I'm assuming if they're both coming out on the graphics card, I could actually run both at once?
Thanks for getting back to me so fast on the RAM situation. I’ve been mulling it over, but since I'm running a 32-bit OS right now, there's really no point in upgrading yet.
Even though I'm not much of a gamer, I still want a solid graphics card. I usually have two monitors running at once, and every now and then, I'll jump into some CAD work on AutoCAD.
If you guys could throw some recommendations my way for a better card, I'd appreciate it. What's the verdict—should I go with Nvidia or Radeon?
Hey everyone, I could really use some advice on picking out a new graphics card.
My power supply is a Seasonic 430 w procesor AMD Athlon 2 x4 640 4
Running an AMD Athlon 2 x4 640
Got 4 GB of RAM
Motherboard is a Gigabyte 870 A-UD3
I was running an Nvidia 9800 gt in this rig until a lightning strike fried the damn thing, so now I'm looking for a replacement.
I mostly use this PC for Photoshop, watching movies, and just browsing the web—I don't play any games. I've got about $333 set aside for this.
Thanks in advance!
So, I messed around with compatibility mode, but instead of using Power Cinema, I stumbled upon this sweet little program TiVo.
It handles digital, analog TV, and even FM radio. It’s super straightforward and everything actually works for once.
Cheers
Of course I’ve got a hybrid adapter, but I used it to get a Power Cinema 5 that won't even run on Windows 7
Hey
Can someone please hook me up with some software recommendations for watching TV on my PC? I need stuff for digital antenna, analog channels, and even just listening to the radio. It’s gotta run on Windows 7.
Thanks
