Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
What’s the deal with mixing different protein types—like throwing milk protein in with your whey—instead of just sticking to pure whey? Is it actually true that those blends absorb slower and suck for post-workout recovery?

What’s actually the best way to eat 'em?

It’s a no-brainer: boiled eggs are the way to go. Forget just the health stuff—cooking them denatures the proteins, basically breaking those long chains down into smaller pieces so your body can actually digest and process them way easier.

Look, if you're trying to pack on size, you need more protein because that's what builds muscle. Period. But for the people trying to slim down, protein is huge because when you're dieting, your body burns through glycogen stores in your liver and muscles first, then hits the fat. The problem is, if you don't get enough protein, your body starts breaking down your actual muscle tissue just to feed itself. You end up losing some fat, sure, but you lose muscle too, and you just end up looking weak.
I've cycled through tons of different brands since I hit the gym hard, and honestly, I swear by them—they work great and don't mess with my system. p.s. Don't waste your damn money obsessing over different labels; they're all basically the same stuff.
