I’m giving Hulkenberg about as much hope of escaping a federal indictment as I would give Sanader trying to dodge a prison sentence, though I suspect the real winner here will be Vettel—it feels like the current trend in F1 is just handing the trophy to a different driver every single year anyway. ☕

Does anyone actually want to hear my take on this?

If I had to place my bets, I think Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber will both end up sitting right at 256 points by the time the season wraps up.🤣

And honestly, even now, I can't quite wrap my head around who's actually leading the pack.🤣

I guess I'll have to dig a little deeper into the stats. 😂

In that scenario, we'd just have to let the NFL rankings decide the tiebreaker.🙏

I’m fully expecting a massive crowd of superficial, totally uninspired hostesses lining the grid right before the green flag drops. 🙏

McLaren seemed to have quite a bit of luck on their side during the first half of the season, but it feels like that streak is finally drying up. It’s almost like when you’re playing a hand of poker and everything goes your way for a few rounds, only to realize the house is starting to collect. They rode that wave for a while, but now reality is setting in. 🙂
Honestly, I have to mention the absolute blunder of the year from Novak Djokovic—that moment when he accidentally said "Achilles' tendon" instead of referring to "Achilles' heel." It was one of those classic slips of the tongue that just sticks with you. 🤣🤣🤣

It honestly felt like both of them were running on some heavy-duty stimulants today.

It’s like they were seeing things that simply weren't there.

Honestly, you could probably find a whole field of psychiatrists with plenty of work to do here. 🙏

Maybe it’s time we shift some of that focus over to the Red Bull Racing drivers for a bit. Honestly, McLaren has dealt with enough bad luck to last a lifetime; they've really been through the wringer lately. 😁

Luck isn't something that just lands in your lap; you have to earn it.

Once you finally wrap your head around it, you might actually start to realize that nothing in this life happens by mere accident.

The absolute worst part of this whole ordeal is that I couldn't even manage to get any more sleep after the race ended 😢

Anyway, just my two cents, but thank God Danny Sullivan was working with the stewards today. He actually understands how street circuits work, so they didn't ruin the race with a bunch of pointless penalties. Though, I’m not so sure Kamikazashi wouldn't have been flagged for shoving Grandpa into the barrier if he hadn't ended up wrecking himself a bit... seemed way too aggressive to me, but hey, they haven't replayed the footage yet...

But you have to admit, he really did give Grandpa a hell of a shove into the wall.🙏

It was honestly quite satisfying watching Robert Kubica effortlessly glide right past Felipe Massa's car like it wasn't even there.🙏

stormybadger8 said:Honestly, yeah. If they’d stayed out even one lap longer, they would’ve looked like absolute morons.🤣

They looked pathetic going out on the same lap. Honestly, they would've looked just as stupid if they’d gone out under the SC.🤣

No matter how you look at it, they're just idiots.😬

Besides that, you can tell their lap times have completely fallen off a cliff. Clearly, their tires just gave up on them.

The only stupid thing here was Vettel not pitting sooner. He was a full second faster on those new tires than he was on the old ones.😉

Check out this FIA analysis. [Link]

Check out laps 27 through 32.

Both of them are significantly faster on the harder compounds. Honestly, if Sebastian Vettel had actually stayed on track, that gap wouldn't have shrunk—it would've opened up even more.😳

Those idiots should've just cleared out earlier. 🤦

Can someone please find that 🙏 😁

Sebastian Vettel and Alonso hitting the pits was actually perfect timing. 😳

If either of them had stayed out even one or two laps longer, they would've completely screwed up and dropped to like 7th or 8th place. 🤣

Plus, right after they pitted, Kobayashi and Senna collided and the SC came out. Going into the pits under the SC would have been absolute perfection. 🙏

To be fair, I have no idea what you're even talking about here.😁

They had a massive 36-second cushion over Gumbek, so they basically had all the luxury in the world to do whatever they wanted.

Maybe just one lap earlier, they could have potentially helped Vettel get ahead of Alonso.

Regardless, the decision to pit Alonso at that specific moment was just plain terrible.🙏
