redmoose22 said:Does anyone have a referral? My father-in-law had a referral from a local clinic over in Canada, and he only ended up paying the co-pay. It’s the same deal for Americans who don't carry supplemental insurance in this situation. $1000

The referrals are in: surgery is necessary.

Let's give it a shot that way.

I’ve heard that if they can't perform a specific surgery in El Paso, they just transfer you to a major medical hub in Canada, like Washington, D.C. or Pittsburgh.

If we can't get it sorted out here, I'm just going to request a referral for treatment abroad.

We'll give it a shot that way. Thanks anyway.

He had a referral from Canada, but since it was a different country, it didn't cover everything. He ended up paying $1000 out of pocket.

Thanks for the heads-up.

People coming from other countries pay the same way Americans without health insurance do—they have to cover the full cost of hospital services themselves.

The info isn't on their website, but they have a number listed, so just call them...

Regards.🙂

I tried, but they won't give me a straight answer. They just dodge the question without being specific.

I need to know roughly what a parotid gland tumor surgery costs...

What's the typical range for these surgeries in the US?

Is it probably over 20 $0.00

Hi

My sister needs surgery at Holy Spirit Hospital due to a parotid gland issue.

Does anyone know what the daily rate and surgery costs look like for foreign nationals—specifically those coming from Canada?

I'd really appreciate any info you can share.
