It is quite somber to observe that certain "individuals" see absolutely nothing wrong with facilitating the spread of a virus. They argue that because it's difficult for children to wear masks, we should simply allow them to act as vectors for the virus to reach those who are more vulnerable... how tragic indeed.

Well, I am vaccinated. That’s why my symptoms were milder the second time around—at least, that’s my belief. My fear doesn't stem from the virus itself, but from the fact that the first time I caught it, it absolutely tore me apart, and I'm still dealing with neurological fallout. Why should anyone else have to endure what I went through, or even worse, just because someone finds wearing a mask "inconvenient"? It seems people refuse to grasp that this virus can deliver pure hell to others... clearly, personal comfort is the only thing that matters...

Washington, D.C. I'm 36 years old, no other medical conditions—I’d consider myself a fairly healthy individual, actually. I don't smoke, I don't drink. My first bout was caught from a colleague; the symptoms were absolutely brutal, and the recovery was a long, drawn-out process... I’d say I'm still dealing with some lingering effects. The second time, thankfully, the symptoms were much milder—I attribute that to being vaccinated. That instance happened at a wedding, where a massive number of us ended up catching it. Both instances were officially confirmed via antigen and PCR testing. This virus is fundamentally different from the flu; I have no desire to ever relive that first experience... it completely leveled me.

If I were the only one complaining, I might understand, but there are far too many people suffering from horrific symptoms and long-term consequences who suddenly decided they want things back to exactly how they were before Covid. It seems some people refuse to grasp that this is a virus capable of hitting individuals incredibly hard—even fatal in some cases—and that it spreads with terrifying speed, not to mention the mutations... But by all means, let's just scrap the restrictions and spread it everywhere...

It is quite difficult to just "resume normal life" when, for instance, you lose two family members to Covid, or colleagues end up suffering from severe symptoms and long-term complications. How can one then suggest that masks aren't necessary, or that we should skip vaccinations and act as if things haven't changed since before the pandemic? Who is going to shoulder the risk of endangering someone else's health? I have been personally overcome by this virus—twice, in fact, and I certainly wouldn't wish it on anyone... I am still dealing with neurological symptoms to this day.

I caught a screening yesterday, and as someone who follows the EBU closely, I have to admit the film was quite entertaining; I genuinely enjoyed myself. It’s certainly a piece designed for pure escapism... I'm not entirely certain if a sequel is in the works, though I suspect there might be some movement in that direction. Regardless, full steam ahead—this was more than decent enough 😁

One of the better ones, I suppose. There is an actual atmosphere here, rather than relying on those cheap, predictable jump scares... we certainly need more films crafted with that kind of restraint...

A remarkably kinetic piece of cinema. I found myself quite engaged... It isn't necessarily the type of film I’d seek out for a second viewing, yet there wasn't a single moment where the pacing faltered or boredom set in. Looking at the list of Oscar nominees this year, it feels like a genuine injustice that this film was overlooked.

This role suited Sandler perfectly; it was exactly what he needed to snap himself out of a slump.

Good grief, is that that ridiculous movie about the huskies? Hah. I mean, honestly, who could possibly view that as legitimate cinematic expression? Huskies are undeniably adorable, but that’s where the merit ends...

In my estimation, his absolute best work remains Joy Ride.

I have a profound appreciation for this film; the execution is exquisite, providing that sense of Aristotelian catharsis I find so rare these days... I could watch it on an endless loop without ever losing interest.
