Good grief, the PDF is a complete mess, cluttered with absolute garbage.
On top of that, it’s drowning in childish, often downright malicious bickering and trolling.
Useful information is practically non-existent; you have to dig through layers of filth just to find a single useful tidbit.
Look, I get it—RiD has always been poorly moderated, and you’ve grown accustomed to that chaotic regime. But it’s honestly ridiculous to demand special notifications that the standard forum rules will apply to RiD, just as they apply to every other PDF on this entire site.
As for those excuses about being too busy with small children at home to read the rules—save that for the kids, because I highly doubt they’ll buy it either.
If you have the time to sit there and type, you certainly have the time to read the rules.
The truth is, you don't read them because you couldn't care less, especially since nobody ever forced you to follow them before. 🙂
Furthermore, the new moderators have definitely done their homework regarding RiD.
I spent nine full months reading through it while I was a pregnant woman, and even then, I never felt the urge to jump into any of the threads (the chat drama and nasty trolling aren't exactly appealing, even when you're dealing with pregnancy brain). I had to hunt for information with a metaphorical flashlight, and half the time I just gave up because I didn't feel like wading through endless pages of chat noise, thread hijacking, and the malicious trolling from various cliques that inhabit that space.
There are going to be plenty of changes coming to RiD, and my hope is that it becomes a much higher-quality place to hang out. Some people will love the new direction, while others will inevitably throw a fit because things aren't going their way.
As for the threats to leave RiD—to anyone who, for whatever reason, no longer wishes to post there, I wish you a fond farewell and hope you find better entertainment elsewhere.
And this temper tantrum behavior—sulking because "the other kids won't play the game you picked," which happens to be your favorite—should probably be left to playgrounds and other age-appropriate venues.
On this forum, nobody cares about your feelings.

I thought people were actually trying to ask some civilized questions here and get actual answers, but instead, I guess at my age, I'm just being branded a spoiled brat...
Look, we get it, you're the moderator. We get it, you call the shots. We just wanted to ask a few things, but hey, thanks for telling us to go back to daycare since that's apparently where we belong. Bravo. 👍
