I could really use some guidance from anyone who knows their way around this stuff, because I’m getting totally conflicting advice and it’s leaving me stuck:
Is it actually okay to take beta glucan while undergoing chemotherapy (I go in every three weeks)?
One source tells me it’s perfectly fine to use, but then another says you should wait until all the chemo cycles are completely finished. Honestly, I have no idea what to believe or how to proceed.
A lot of people keep suggesting aloe with honey as an alternative.
I'm just really worried about accidentally messing something up and causing a reaction that does more harm than good.

Is anyone else currently dealing with a diagnosis of a tumor where the primary site remains unknown?
After months of endless back-and-forth and waiting around, the doctors have finally decided to classify my dad’s condition this way and start him on chemotherapy.
He’s already become incredibly weak and suffered a pulmonary embolism, and honestly, I’m just furious. It feels like the treatment was delayed far too long because they kept stalling while waiting for biopsy results.
I feel completely helpless. I can't tell if there's anything more I can do—whether I should seek a second opinion outside of our local hospital system, because everywhere I've called privately, they told me they don't treat these types of tumors when the specific origin isn't clearly identified.
On top of all this despair, I'm being judged by everyone around me; they act as if they would definitely be doing much more than I am. It’s left me feeling so heartbroken, and I’m even starting to wonder if I really am not doing enough for him.
I think I'll give those warm compresses a shot. Honestly, I’m a bit skeptical that they’ll actually do the trick, but I appreciate the suggestion nonetheless.

Did you ever deal with anything quite like this?
Honestly, when I hear about it, I can tell how incredibly painful it must be. It makes me wonder if there might be some other way to handle things so we can finally get rid of 🙂
.
I could really use some advice here...
A little bump has popped up on my upper eyelid. I have a hunch it might be a clogged gland, probably from using certain eye creams or facial masks 🙂
The thing doesn't actually hurt, but it's grown quite large by now and it’s becoming pretty noticeable...
The only solution I've managed to find so far involves a surgical procedure where they essentially flip the eyelid, which is definitely not an option I'm looking for right now 😲
Does anyone know of any other way to get rid of this that doesn't involve a trip to the hospital?
I found two different styles at Walmart:
- one type is CCA $40 and features a rim that extends up to cover the base of the toes.
- the other kind is $13 where the rim sits a bit lower, right at the start of the toes.
They don't have that specific section between the toes that usually prevents them from sliding down toward the ankles.
I decided to grab the cheaper ones because, honestly, spending $40 on just socks feels like a massive stretch for me. I'll have to see how the quality holds up once I actually unwrap them.
Anyway, they're for the 10-day period.
I have to admit, I didn't spot them while I was there, but I'll head back out and see if I can track them down 👋

I picked up some tights like those at Target 😉
The only difference is mine don't have that gap between the big toe and the next one—everything is just one continuous piece.
Roughly like this 😉
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toeless-Shee...1066348&sr=1-1
(except mine aren't knee-highs, they're full length, you know)
Anyway, I was worried they might slip since they lack that little toe divider to hold them in place, but they actually stayed put—that band at the bottom is pretty sturdy 👍
Thanks! I definitely need the full-length ones too.
Just one more thing—do you happen to remember how much they cost?

I don't mean the ones with the darker reinforced toe area, but more like this:

Thanks.
Has anyone happened to spot them anywhere in the meantime?
Does anyone have any firsthand experience with the medical practice run by Stefanec-Papac over in Springfield? I think I’ve got the name spelled correctly, but I'd love to know what people actually think of them.
She’s been taking them for five days now, strictly on schedule—10:00 AM and 10:00 PM—but her doctor actually advised her to stop entirely. The side effects have just been too much to handle; she isn't sleeping, she's dealing with constant dizziness, and she's finding the whole experience incredibly difficult to endure. I'm really not sure what the next step is yet, so we'll just have to see how things unfold.
thank you so much for sharing your experience with me
The doctor mentioned taking them twice a day.
He prescribed them because during a procedure to remove some tissue from her neck, they accidentally nicked most of the nerves. Since then, she’s been dealing with issues in her hand and head... among other things. She describes this sensation like having an "elephant's ear." I know that sounds a bit ridiculous, but it is incredibly painful and uncomfortable, and sometimes the fingers in her hand swell up so much she can barely use them.
thanks
Does anyone here happen to have any insight or connections regarding this medication?
My mom was prescribed it to help manage some pretty intense pain she's been dealing with. Initially, the pharmacy was hesitant to fill it because it falls under controlled substances, which led to quite a bureaucratic headache. We finally cleared all the hurdles and got it, but after doing a bit of digging online, I'll admit what I read left me feeling a little uneasy. I was wondering if anyone here has experience using it? It would be incredibly helpful if we could share some first-hand accounts.
I think it’s probably best if I stay away from debating medical malpractice or doctor errors altogether. My mother went in for what was supposed to be a routine procedure to remove a small cyst on her neck, but things went terribly wrong; they actually severed some nerves during the surgery, and now she’s dealing with some incredibly difficult issues with her bodily functions.
Honestly, I am just absolutely livid right now, and I’m starting to feel this overwhelming sense of panic whenever I think about doctors.
Today, the local radio station is doing a giveaway for three tickets, so if you feel like luck might be on your side...
I just finished reading Jennifer in her 40s 🙄
Timothy Morgan38 said:One more thing to consider... the type of toilet paper you choose and your actual technique during cleanup can play a massive role here too...
In my view, it’s worth investing in a softer brand of tissue, and I would suggest being quite gentle during the process. It is much better to use a bit more paper than to risk causing irritation or injury by being too aggressive...
That is a valid point.
I haven't personally tried using Dolokain, but I have noticed that, Fact, certain treatments tend to lose their effectiveness after a certain period. How long does it usually take before that happens?
There’s a certain chill you get just from looking into his eyes. He’d be the perfect choice to play one of those brilliant psychopaths in a thriller.
"It’s honestly quite distressing when you feel like everything is just about to explode! "
I genuinely can't see where the issue lies here
😲 😠
"What hurts most, though,"
well, I can certainly empathize with that.
I was taking Trinovum, and after two months, my period completely vanished 😕 😲 leaving me feeling as bloated as an overinflated balloon.
Later, they put me on Stelara, but that just seemed to trigger a rapid onset of cellulite. My breasts ended up with stretch marks thanks to all those fluctuating ups and downs, so now I'm constantly applying various creams to try and soften the appearance. Currently, I'm abstaining 👎 , and my doctors have strictly forbidden me from using any kind of synthetic hormones.
Out of all this talk, my favorite part was definitely buying a bra one size larger. Unfortunately, that one is now sitting there, totally useless 😠
