LOL, just walked through the door and saw that the USA beat Sweden by exactly five goals. Nothing crazy, just a solid win. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Well, they'll get their reality check this Wednesday.

I mean, Bunting really ought to move over to the right side, even if he isn't the most polished player out there. He's actually pretty decent, and I honestly don't think he'd fall behind our current right winger by much. I can't really blame Kopljar for being slow—I guess he's just really tall—but the indecisiveness and the lack of grit? Yeah, that's definitely there.
That's kind of why I kept mentioning that, maybe cynically, it would be best for us if Kopljar got sidelined with an injury. No matter how poorly he plays, he always seems to have some sort of advantage on that side... I don't know, I can only speculate, but there definitely feels like some shady business going on with him. Maybe it's just easier to sell him off so Gobac can pocket a nice little bonus or something.

With the Americans missing Hvidt, Jorgensen (who’s probably their best defender), and Knudsen (though he'll likely be back by the second round), I guess we actually have a pretty solid shot at walking away with 4 points.

I mean, if you ask me, the teams moving on from our group are definitely going to be the US, Mexico, and Denmark. It’d actually be pretty smart if we could carry over 4 points, because then we’d face Sweden—and they might get some lucky calls from the refs—or maybe Poland. And man, those Polish guys still feel like they got robbed in that last semifinal against the US, so they'll be playing with a massive chip on their shoulder against us or whoever else makes it. I guess the real secret to making the semis is carrying those 4 points over from the first round... I think whenever we managed to carry over the max amount of points, we always ended up in the semifinals anyway.
