Can someone tell me if it's actually possible to turn an Excel chart back into an Excel table?
Thanks in advance.

My bad, I just realized there are a ton of typos here.

Can I jump in here with a similar question? Back when I was on Windows XP, I used WMM and found it pretty easy to manage. Now that I’ve moved up to this Windows DVD version, things feel quite different. Could anyone explain the workflow for this? I can't seem to save anything as anything other than a project file. Or, if someone knows a better program that comes bundled with this OS, I'm all ears.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I've got Windows 7 Ultimate installed, but now I’m basically starting from scratch since there are so many differences. On that note, I wanted to reply to a specific message. I tried hitting "reply," but I just got an error saying the address couldn't be found, along with a link to the user list. How am I supposed to respond if I can't find the right thread? This has happened to me on the forum before.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Dealing with the BIOS feels a bit intimidating for my first time—I'm worried about messing something up. I guess I just need to take the plunge.

Hi everyone,
I just picked up a new computer. Is installing Windows a complicated process, and where would be the best place to learn how to do it? I use my PC for quite a bit of work, but I've never actually tried this myself. Thanks to anyone who can take a moment to offer some solid advice.

It works on my end too. Just wondering if there's a way to make subtitles and how to go about it.

The program works fine for me. It gets a bit finicky with segment timing sometimes, but it’s straightforward and it gets the job done. I'll definitely look into trying some other options down the road.

Found a fix online. You can actually trick Microsoft PowerPoint into recognizing an mp3 file as a wav. It’s done using CDEx. Thanks to everyone who lent a hand.

I followed all the instructions and everything works. It turns out the file has to be in .vav format. Now I'm running into some issues with the presentation size.

I’ve uploaded the mistywalker94 template too. Hopefully it works. You can grab it here:

Hey everyone, this is awesome. I have my own presentation, and it's similar to the others. Maybe I'm not a total lost cause after all. I just wish I knew how to build one like this from scratch. Also, I'm still confused about why that first piece of music played—I tried changing it, thinking there was an issue with the audio file itself. Looking forward to hearing what the actual problem was.

There are enough posts here that it’s better to solve this publicly. That way, other people visiting the forum can find the same fix for their own issues.

I don't see what the issue is regarding the imported sounds being an Embed in the file.

- turkey.wav
- cat_01.wav
- goat_02.wav
- duck_03.wav

Best,

Kyle, thank you so much for the help. I feel a bit awkward since there are so many replies already. But I think I'm finally getting close to a solution. Could you clarify how to actually set the music as an Embed file? To me, it always seems to stay as a linked file. If others following this thread can learn something too, then all this back-and-forth is worth it.

Maybe try putting the sounds and the presentation into the same folder
You can use the Pack and Go option for that. But I'm not sure if it lets you save it in PPS format while keeping those other files hidden from view.

These two files don't have any audio, even though their file size suggests they should. I'm at work right now, but I can send the presentation over from home once I'm back.

I checked out that link you sent. It just covers stuff I already know. And saving as a PPS is nothing new to me. The problem is, when I open this presentation on other computers, the music doesn't play. I see the Pack and Go option under the file menu. It grabs all the necessary files, but they end up scattered everywhere.

I can't say for sure, but everything works on my end—both older and newer versions include the audio. It seems the files I create on my own computer have the music, but they don't show up when I try them on other machines.

Thanks for the detailed response, but I’m still stuck. That’s exactly how I’ve been setting up my presentations, yet the music won't play when I move them to other computers. I even tried using Pack and Go, but that just leaves me with a folder full of files. All I want is a single PPS file that carries the audio along with it so it works perfectly on any machine.

First time posting here, so apologies if this has already been covered. I build presentations in PowerPoint. I need to know how to save them as a PPS file that actually works when opened on other computers. Using Expedia just dumps everything into a folder full of separate files, but I want a single PPS file—the kind you'd typically share online. Thanks in advance, and sorry if my question is a bit vague.
