Ronnie James Dio

but if you ask me, he just couldn't stand the fact that Blackmore was always the boss.😉 Honestly, everyone conveniently forgets about Ian Gillan, David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Joe Lynn Turner, and Dio himself—without Blackmore, none of them would be anything today. He was basically handing out hits that someone just had to sing, and they all happened to be in the right place at the right time...
Blackmore is king!
Look, I’m not disputing his stature. There is absolutely no question about how much he influenced guitarists and music as a whole. However, without every single one of those legends you mentioned in your post, his music wouldn't be nearly as recognizable. Every single thing he wrote was elevated to a legendary level by those monster musicians, turning them into the classics we know today.
Those hits just needed a voice...🙄 Iron Maiden could have written just about anything, and if that maniac hadn't sung most of it, you can only imagine how massive they would be today.
Dio was the real deal; with a voice like that, he would have built a brutal career regardless of the circumstances.
Don't be so reductive about it.😉
