Is there any other way to ship stuff without worrying about getting scammed?
It’s not even that I don't trust the person I'm dealing with, but I just don't want to take any unnecessary risks when things get expensive.

I need to send a package to a company worth about $187.

Since I've never done this before, I have a few questions:
-What’s the shipping cost for a package valued at $187?
-What happens if the recipient isn't home when the mail carrier arrives?
Does it just sit at the local post office waiting to be picked up, or does it get sent back to my house?
-How would I receive the payment? Will it be mailed to my address, or how does that work since I don't have a bank account?
-Roughly how long will the whole process take (shipping from Washington, D.C. to Charleston)?

Forget PayPal, that shop charges an extra fee on top of everything.
But how does customs actually work?
Is it like, 20% of the total price or what?

I'm thinking about ordering a LEGO set from overseas (Germany).

I've already heard some rumors that customs might hit me pretty hard depending on how big the set is.
Is that actually true—does the size of the package determine the customs fees?

And how does the math even work for those charges?
The set is worth $92, so what would my total be after everything is factored in?
(It's a pretty big set, so I'm assuming there will be some extra costs)

Also, regarding the payment, is a Chase transfer just a standard bank wire via a check, or...?

Maybe she just prefers the snacks in the Spanish-themed play area.
I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but they put food in both of those little flag-decorated snack stations, so she probably just picks whichever box looks better to her.

Otherwise, why would she even bother heading over to the snack stations in the first place?
