Has anyone actually ordered from yoursclothing.co.uk before? I'm looking at their stuff and they seem to have some decent pants, leggings, and a few tees. Right now, I’m mostly just obsessing over my Pink Clover order—which I am desperately waiting for—and a little something from ASOS too.

This was garbage. The characters were incredibly weak and totally unconvincing, and let me tell you, actual exorcists aren't some amateur wannabes like the guy in this movie.

Tickets aren't even on sale yet—I actually called The Warfield today just to check.

So, I finally just went out, bought the fabric, and dropped it off at the tailor to get a coat made. Honestly, everything I tried on in the stores was either way too loose around the hips but fit fine up top, or perfect on the butt while I was basically drowning in the torso. I scoured the entire downtown area, and the only thing that actually looked decent on me was this cute black knee-length coat over at Macy's—which, by the way, is the only thing I’ve ever felt good in—but man, the price tag is absolute murder $666. For that kind of cash, I could literally have two custom coats sewn from scratch, so... yeah, I guess I’ll just suffer through seven more days until my custom one arrives.

Alright, I need to find some actual professional clothes for work... I can't exactly show up to a trade show wearing denim and a hoodie, I really need to get my act together.
Today's discovery: Tom Tailor... turns out their XXL actually fits me perfectly, and I managed to snag two coats at Westgate Mall... though I still haven't decided which one to grab. Honestly, the prices were a bit higher than what I’d originally set aside for a jacket, but hey, I figure it's worth it if they actually last. Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to swing by the CC1 mall to check out Clockhouse in an XL, since the Westgate location doesn't carry them—it's just Jessica and all that other overpriced nonsense there.

Serious? 🙂 Oh, in that case, I definitely need to swing by CC1. Thanks a million! 🙂

My waist measures around 48 to 50 inches, and from my chest up, I’m looking at about 46 to 48.
I was wandering around the Westgate Mall today, on a desperate hunt for some basic, professional black trousers. Honestly? It was a disaster. I hit up C&A, but the quality is just pathetic—whatever size they claim is mine ends up being way too high-waisted and the legs are ridiculously short. Then there’s H&M, where the stuff they’re stocking is so low-grade I wouldn't even use it to wipe down my baseboards. When the sales clerk tried to point me toward their "premium" section—which was basically just three lonely shelves—I couldn't help but laugh in her face, Krpe. There isn't a single thing there I'd wear, even in a crisis. It’s honestly tragic; it’s nothing like the H&M stores you find back in Germany. Just total junk.
I found these gorgeous, elegant black trousers over at Target—size 20, absolute top-tier quality—but man, they are costing me an arm and a leg. $167I didn't end up grabbing them because, honestly, it just felt like a bit much. Still, I really need to pick up a few more things—maybe a couple of tunics or shirts, and potentially some light layers to throw over them. Plus, I’ve got the whole ordeal of shopping for a winter jacket ahead of me, which I'm definitely not looking forward to.

Finally solved my jeans crisis while traveling through the States! Turns out, the C&A here is a completely different beast compared to what we have back home. They actually carry a Clockhouse collection—you know, that trendy stuff for younger crowds—but they actually stock them in XL. I managed to snag two pairs of bootcut jeans, which is exactly what I look for. One pair leans a little more towards a flare cut, which feels slightly off to me, so I might just take them to a tailor to get the bottoms tapered down. They’re soft, super comfortable, and most importantly, the rise is high enough that my butt doesn't peek out, yet they aren't gaping at the waist—which is exactly how real denim should fit. Since I've got that hourglass figure—big bust and hips, tiny waist—it’s usually a nightmare to find anything that actually stays put. Honestly, I don't think I could ever find decent jeans like these back home; the quality is just way too basic over there.

I haven’t bought anything from a catalog or online yet. I much prefer being able to actually try stuff on and see how I look in the mirror with it on.
The Secret Service (2011) in Movies ·
Honestly, this was one of the best comedies I've sat through lately—just packed with sharp, dark humor and dialogue that actually keeps you awake. I actually stumbled onto this movie because I'm a huge fan of Calexico, and man, they absolutely nailed the soundtrack... it really set the whole vibe.

"Sergeant Gerry Boyle is this small-town cop with a seriously prickly personality and a subversive sense of humor. His mom is away, he’s got a bit too much interest in local hookers, and he couldn't care less about some international cocaine smuggling ring, which is exactly why a high-strung FBI agent named Wendell Everett showed up right on his doorstep."

Also, if you're into those messy American soap operas, there's even an American actress in the cast playing a part.
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
I’m officially calling it—schizophrenia is NOT some mystical gateway to enlightenment.
Don't try to sugarcoat reality for yourself; if you've been prescribed medication, just stick to the regimen and take your pills regularly.
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
@Jose Wells4, schizophrenia isn't some kind of spiritual awakening or enlightenment, and neither is psychosis. If you don't get help, there's a massive risk of suicide, plain and simple. Would you honestly be brave enough to take the responsibility for someone else's life onto your own shoulders?
You're talking absolute nonsense.

Arthur Vaughn2 said:Alright, so I'm on Zyprexa and I've put on 15 pounds in just two weeks. What's the move here? Should I ask my doctor about switching up my meds—even if the current ones are actually working—or am I supposed to just find some weird way to deal with this weight gain? :S

Ask for a new prescription. Don't even hesitate, because if you sit there overthinking it, you're gonna end up gaining another twenty pounds before you even make an appointment.

I’ve been on Zeldox for five years now, and I’ve put on about 65 pounds in that time—which I guess is a "win" considering when I was on Zyprexa a decade ago, I packed on that same amount of weight in just six months. The only real nightmare is this side effect that kicked in about a year and a half ago where my muscles started seizing up, specifically in my hands and knuckles, so they put me on Cogentin to deal with the stiffness.
Right now, I’m taking 20mg, once in the morning and once at night, along with half a dose of Cogentin.

But honestly, there are no rules when it comes to psych meds; one person handles them fine while someone else gets absolutely wrecked by them. Everyone reacts differently. Back when I was on Zyprexa, I felt so bloated I looked like I’d been stung by a swarm of bees, and I had this relentless, unstoppable craving for sugar. I just couldn't stop eating. It was awful.

So, here’s the deal: I finally managed to win this battle with my doctor and convinced her to drop my Zeldox dose. I’m officially down from 40 mg to 20 mg, taking one in the morning and one at night. The whole headache is that in the US, they don't even list the 20 mg version in the standard pharmacy registry for 2011—it's just not there. Sure, you could technically find it imported from somewhere else, but a single box would cost me like $70, and I need two boxes every month just to survive. So, what am I doing? I bought a bunch of empty capsules and now I’m basically playing mad scientist, splitting the contents of the 40 mg ones myself. I just grind up the white powder, divide it into two equal parts, then shove half into a blue Pfizer capsule and the other half into one of those clear ones I picked up at a local health food store. 🙂
Honestly, I feel amazing right now. Yesterday afternoon, I didn't even crash for my usual nap; instead, I actually pulled myself together and went for a long hike in the woods with my partner. If this is what happens when the dosage drops, it means I’m getting an extra two or three hours of actual life back every single day, which is absolutely fantastic. And hey, if my metabolism decides to kick into high gear because of this, I'll be thrilled. Nobody is happier than me right now.

I’ll find out on July 26th since that’s when my follow-up is scheduled, so I really need to touch base with my doctor and get everything squared away first.

Of course I’m not going to give you an answer here in public, because we’re supposed to be talking about psychotropic meds, not the frequency of my damn sex life.😁

It’s not even like we don't talk at all, it’s just that he’s usually the one constantly dragging me into stuff while I tend to stay more low-key. But honestly? If he’s actually going to walk away from me just because I’m not initiating things more often, then fine—it’ll just prove he isn't the right person for me anyway.
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
Look, it’s pretty simple: if you’re actually with someone—I mean, if there’s real love, genuine respect, and actual care involved rather than just hooking up—they’re going to get it and they’re going to be patient. My partner has known since day one that I’m on medication, and he’s been my biggest support system through all of this. But yeah, things get messy, and it honestly makes me feel like absolute garbage when he asks me, "Why are you losing interest in me?" because then I have to sit there and explain all over again that it isn't him, it's just the side effects from the meds. At the end of the day, if you haven't lived through it yourself, you can say you understand, but you don't truly get how much it sucks.

I don't even dare think about stopping this on my own because the risk is just way too high; I've already had this illness come roaring back once before, and it was a literal life-or-death situation. I have absolutely no desire to end up back in a hospital ward, facing two grueling years of trying to recover from a psychotic break.
I think I'll try to negotiate at least a dose reduction with my doctor. Because look, my personal wishes are one thing, but then there's the cold, hard reality of this disease and the massive risks I'd be taking on. You just don't mess around with stuff like this.
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
Ugh, yeah, the side effects—besides just feeling like a total zombie, my hands keep cramping up while driving, and I’ve completely lost any interest in sex. My libido is basically non-existent right now. Honestly, I'm freaking out about it because I just want my old self back! 😢
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
I’m constantly exhausted and honestly, I’m just fighting an uphill battle every single day. Over the last two years, the side effects have been brutal—my hands started seizing up on me, so now I’m taking Aketon just to get some relief, because the stiffness was getting genuinely painful. I’m always sleepy, and I’ve packed on the weight; my doctor keeps trying to brush it off, claiming Zeldox won't cause weight gain since it's an atypical antipsychotic, but I'm up 66 pounds from when I started this treatment five years ago. And honestly, that’s a "win" compared to when I first got sick nine years ago and was stuck on some garbage Zyprexa that made me gain 66 pounds in just six months. Back then, I couldn't stop eating, especially sweets, and I was expanding right before my eyes. Thank God I didn't end up with diabetes. I was on meds for two years during that first episode, and after talking it over with my doctor back then, I stopped the treatment. After two years of feeling fine and getting back to my normal weight, the illness came roaring back (depressive-type psychosis). My new doctor didn't put me back on Zyprexa specifically to avoid those side effects, opting for Zeldox instead.
Look, if there is even a shred of a chance that this stuff makes me gain weight, it's going to hit me hard. I managed to slim down perfectly back in 2004 using a diet and acupuncture with Dr. Miller, but starting treatment all over again has just brought all those pounds right back. Dammit... I’m just so damn tired of being lethargic and gaining weight; I want to sit down with my doctor and negotiate a lower dose or maybe even tapering off entirely (though I have no clue if that's actually smart, and I really want to have kids, so I need to get off these meds sooner rather than later).
I’ll try to fight for it—if I can't get off them completely, then at least I want to get moved down to 20mg, assuming they even carry those specific doses on the US market; I know Zeldox comes in 20, 40, 60, and 80mg packs.
I'll see what we can work out by the end of the month. I would be the happiest person on earth if I could just stop taking these pills and stay healthy... I just know that carries the risk of a relapse, and that's what scares the hell out of me.
