HPV vaccine discussion

My daughter is in 7th grade, and we just got the notice about the Merck vaccination. I’ve been looking into it, and some info suggests it covers the four most aggressive and common types, but then again, I also read claims that the vaccine hasn't been fully vetted. Does anyone here have actual experience with it? I guess I just don't want my kid dealing with side effects, though if it really is effective, I suppose I'd want to take advantage of it while it's free through the school program—otherwise, you're looking at three doses for about one $333 ($1000 total).
