My ultimate breakfast leaderboard:

1. Sunny-side up eggs with bacon and some 100% orange juice
2. A deli meat platter paired with black tea
3. Pizza or various savory pies, maybe with yogurt—or honestly, kefir is even better
4. A massive sandwich (we’re talking turkey, salami, ham, all kinds of cheese, onions, tartar sauce, mustard, etc.) plus yogurt or preferably kefir
5. Boiled hot dogs with plenty of mustard and a cup of black tea
6. Pâté (but only if it was actually high-quality before being processed, and let's skip the poultry options entirely!) or just peanut butter 😍 accompanied by black tea
7. Kellogg's cereals—oatmeal, rice flakes, or chocolate muesli (but absolutely NO freaking raisins! :2up: ) or, I guess, a mix of everything together
8. Sausages boiled with way too much mustard and some black tea
9. Fish served with veggies and black tea
10. Cottage cheese with cream and extra hot sauce, or just plain cottage cheese, with black tea

As for bread, I'm thinking rye, multigrain, sourdough, or maybe some pita or flatbread

pule :) said:okay, I wasn't really paying close attention when that topic came up earlier, so let me ask—so, for you, rosehip tea or chamomile tea don't actually count as "real" tea? Is it just stuff made from leaves (like green or black)? Because I suppose fruit infusions with extra additives aren't true teas either, but chamomile comes from flowers and rosehip comes from berries that have their own aroma. They don't need much intervention, right? But then again, mint is made from leaves too, isn't it?

1.1. What is tea?

Tea is a beverage created by infusing the leaves of the tea plant (_Camellia
sinensis_, or _Thea sinensis_) in hot water. The term 'tea' is also used
to describe the leaves themselves; additionally, it refers to a mid- to
late-afternoon meal in the United States and Associated territories, where
tea (the drink) is served alongside various snacks and foods.

1.2. What are the different kinds of tea?

There are three primary categories: green, black, and oolong. All three
types come from the exact same plant species. The main distinctions
between them stem from the varying processing methods they
undergo. Black teas are oxidized for several hours during
preparation; oolongs undergo less oxidation, while green teas
aren't oxidized at all.

Yeah.
I suppose you could look at it from the other direction too, maybe.😬

June 10th at Boogaloo, according to www.misfits.com
From what I can gather, the instrumental lineup features Robo—who used to be part of the Glenn Danzig days—😍 along with Jerry Only, of course.
What are your thoughts? Do you think they'll sound good or bad? I wonder who’s actually handling the vocals now, and honestly, what do you all think about their stage presence and energy?
stormyviper11 said:Fast forward fifteen years, and most of them have turned into perfectly respectable, buttoned-up professionals who wouldn't have the slightest clue who M. Ward, Sufjan Stevens, or Devendra Bahaud are. Quite the contrast to the artists mentioned above!

But I honestly don't see what's so bad about that! 😬 😬 😬

☕The real deal is found in a proper shot of tequila, not in those weak, watery drinks you guys seem to love.

A real shot, you amateurs☕ <-- vodka blend

I have to say, that was actually quite impressive! 😎 😬

A good glass of wine paired with a cozy little snack... honestly, what more could you ask for? It’s pure bliss! 😁

It seems pretty obvious, I guess, especially considering that we're dealing with... I guess I should probably mention that there’s been quite a bit of talk lately about getting back to basics, almost like we're revisiting some old-school traditions. It feels like people are looking for ways to reconnect with those simpler, more hands-on methods that used to be much more common around here in the States. Maybe it's just a reaction to how fast everything moves now, but there seems to be this growing interest in slowing down and doing things the way they were originally intended. I find it rather charming, actually! It's all about finding that balance between modern convenience and those heartfelt, traditional touches that make life feel a little more grounded. 😁

I guess I wouldn't say I'm exactly a tea person, though—I'm more into mint. And honestly, that doesn't even really count as tea, does it? image 😬 )

If you’re looking to elevate your tea time, here are my top four picks for the perfect accompaniment to a cup of black tea: 1. **A classic buttery shortbread.** I find there is just something about that melt-in-your-mouth texture that works beautifully against the tannins in a strong brew. It’s a simple pleasure, but maybe it’s the best one? 2. **Dark chocolate.** If you're feeling a bit more indulgent, a few squares of high-quality dark chocolate can be incredible. The richness really complements the bold notes of a good black tea. 3. **Scones with jam and cream.** This feels like such a classic afternoon ritual! I guess if you have the time to bake, there’s nothing quite like a warm scone to make the whole experience feel special. 4. **Lemon pound cake.** I absolutely love a bright, citrusy note to balance out the deep flavors of the tea. A slice of moist lemon cake is always a winner in my book!

I’ve been thinking about tahini halva lately, and honestly, I think it might be one of those underrated gems in the snack aisle. There’s just something so comforting about that dense, nutty texture—it feels like a little luxury you can grab on the go. I guess if you haven't tried it much, it might seem a bit unusual at first, but once you get used to that rich sesame flavor, it’s hard to go back! It's such a delightful little treat. 🙏
I’ve been thinking about that smoked cheese lately—honestly, I think there’s nothing quite like it! It’s such a classic flavor profile. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it adds this incredible depth to almost any snack or appetizer you're putting together. It really is a game-changer!
I guess I should probably mention that everything wraps up after eight. Maybe it’s just my way of staying organized, but I find things tend to settle down quite nicely by then! 🙂
I’ve been thinking quite a bit about dark chocolate lately—specifically those bars with a really high cocoa content, like 75% or even higher. I guess there’s just something about that intense, deep flavor profile that hits differently! Maybe it's because it feels a little more sophisticated, or perhaps it's just that rich, velvety texture once it starts to melt. I’m definitely leaning towards the darker side of things these days!

Well, let's just say I have plenty of respect for the musical tastes of stormyviper11 and Daniel Bailey7, even if their selections are... well, extremely questionable.🙂
sp@mmerica said:why won't you guys just respect someone else's musical taste?

Maybe we should take a second to ask ourselves who the actual victim is here, and who the tormentor might be.
I don't think there's a single one in here that features Turbonegro 😢

Man, what a pile of plant-loving hippies. Elvis and I just drifted off like we were surrounded by forest fairies instead of a bunch of rowdy, leather-clad bikers 🙂
