There is nothing quite as soul-crushing as being on the verge of a comeback, only to have the rug pulled out from under you by a technicality or a referee's whistle. I was watching a match last weekend where the energy in the stadium was just electric—everyone felt like the impossible was actually happening. Then, out of nowhere, a decision gets overturned and suddenly that entire emotional surge just vanishes into thin air.
It makes me wonder how much of "sporting drama" is actually about skill versus how much is just about these weird, unpredictable moments that completely derail the narrative. Sometimes you feel like you're witnessing a miracle in progress, and other times it feels like the universe is just actively rooting against the underdog. It’s hard to stay invested when a single administrative hiccup can negate hours of pure grit and determination.
Do you think these kinds of sudden shifts actually add to the beauty of the game, or do they just make the results feel cheap?
I'm looking for a really good dentist in either Chicago or the Suburban City area... honestly, it's been forever since my last visit and I really need to finally go. I have to admit, I'm pretty terrified about it... my front tooth is slightly discolored, so I’d love to get that fixed to a bright, perfect white. I just don't want some butcher working on me who might actually make things worse instead of doing a proper job...
I'm hoping for some advice! ☕

I’m 25, and my left breast has always been a bit larger and shaped differently than my right—nothing crazy, but enough that I definitely notice it. For a few years now, it’s been hurting quite often (I can’t even remember when it started; it feels like it's always been this way). The pain is kind of strange, too. It isn't that typical pre-period ache; it feels more like someone is poking at a duct or a gland right under the nipple. As the years go by, the pain seems to be increasing, though it’s periodic rather than constant. It actually got worse once I started taking birth control pills, and sometimes the discomfort is so intense that I can't even stand wearing a basic cotton bra. Other times, there's no pain at all. When I check myself, I can't pinpoint the exact spot where it hurts, and I don't feel any lumps or bumps; everything feels totally normal to the touch.
The issue is that the wait times for a mammogram at our local public health clinic are huge, and it could take months to get an appointment. I was wondering if it would be worth seeing a specialist at a private facility like Quest Diagnostics for an ultrasound instead? Has anyone else dealt with something similar?
I have fibrocystic breast disease, and I know firsthand how much trouble it can cause... it's honestly not easy... I eventually found a tiny lump that turned out to be a fibroadenoma, which is how I realized what was going on.
I decided to go to a private doctor, which I think is the safest bet, and they told me that I really shouldn't be on birth control or any other hormone therapy, because those can tighten up those ducts even more, which might be why it hurts so much... 🙄
I'd say just go get an ultrasound and ask them whatever questions you have...
By the way, I heard and read somewhere that castor oil or cream is really helpful for this, and I've actually been using it myself for a little while now! 👍
Does anyone have any quick tips or tricks? 🙄
I'm heading to the beach with my friends tomorrow, and I really don't want to show up looking like a total mess.
Haha
Is there anything that can quickly take the redness out of a breakout??
😁I know, I'm being so dramatic
😂😂

Please don't make fun of this thread.
So, a few days ago, I was intimate with my boyfriend. We live together, basically like a married couple.
Anyway, ever since that happened, every single time I go to the bathroom (which is almost every five minutes now because he keeps asking for it ), I get this sensation like someone is touching my clitoris. 😕
I've honestly never experienced anything like this before.
Oh my god. 😢
I definitely wouldn't complain about that :Disney
I’m honestly not sure what stage it is... my doctor just told me that I have severe fibrocystic breast changes...
I also heard that because of this, I might not be allowed to take birth control pills. Is there any truth to that??
Oh, and I should probably mention—I'm only 19! -.-'
About six months ago, I felt this little lump on the bottom of my breast. Honestly, I didn't even worry at first because I figured it was just because my period was coming up... I mean, my tissue is already pretty uneven, so everything feels a bit bumpy anyway... but this one felt hard, almost like a tiny pebble. I ended up ignoring it for a while, but I recently felt it again.
So, I went to see my gynecologist, and they gave me a referral for an ultrasound.
I actually went in feeling pretty calm, not really expecting anything bad... in the worst-case scenario, I just thought maybe it was a swollen gland or some small cyst.
I ended up seeing two different doctors who both suggested it might be a tumor... which really rattled me! Eventually, I had to go in for a biopsy just to know for sure if it was benign or malignant...
I spent a whole week living in total uncertainty, just stressing out and crying...
When I finally went back for the results, they told me it’s a benign tumor—a fibroadenoma (about 10mm x 6.5mm)... that helped calm me down a bit, but I'm still kind of in shock and feeling pretty scared! For now, they told me I DON'T need surgery unless it starts growing...
On top of all that, I also found out that I have fibrocystic breast changes! 😢
I've been reading through various forums and websites about different ways to manage it (creams, treatments, herbal teas, etc.), so I was wondering how you all deal with it... I know there are quite a few of us dealing with similar issues, unfortunately 🙄
By the way, I get terrible breast pain right before my period... and my breasts swell up in a heartbeat! It's honestly awful. My doctor explained that this is part of the fibrocystic issue... IS THERE ANY WAY TO REDUCE THIS AT ALL??
Also, do women with fibrocystic changes run into big problems during pregnancy, or does it interfere with breastfeeding?
I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed right now because I've read so many scary things here, so if anyone who actually knows what they're talking about could share their experience, I would really appreciate it...
Hugs
...I actually heard that for some girls, it can last anywhere from 7 to 9 days!!!! ...oh my gosh... :O
...I honestly feel so bad for them... :/
Oh my gosh... I am totally out of it!!
I feel like I’m going to be sick...
My cycle is usually pretty punctual, but is it even normal to be getting it every 21 days?? :S
...especially since for almost a whole year before this, I was hitting EXACTLY day 28 every single time!!!
wanderingraven9 said:It’s just how it goes... maybe 28 days (or 30, twice a year), and the actual period lasts about 6 days.
The PMS part is the worst... I feel like I’m turning into such a cranky old lady.
Usually, the first day hurts a little, but nothing an Advil can't handle.😍
...Oh man, I honestly don't envy you... sometimes the pain is so intense I genuinely feel like I might die.
So, yeah... during "those days," I definitely have to keep a heavy stash of painkillers on hand.
Though, I guess there are exceptions where it barely hurts at all... 🤷
I'm really not sure what makes it vary so much from month to month. 😕
Elizabeth Hill48 said:Yeah, I probably should... but he actually🙏 ...said I'd be hairy if that were the case😂... though, is it possible that isn't it? Like, maybe my body just functions that way... because honestly, aside from having a weird cycle, I don't really have any other issues...
I don't think that necessarily has to be the reason... 🤷 maybe they'll just prescribe you those hormone pills... at least, that's what happened with one of my friends... she has symptoms pretty similar to yours! ...it's nothing too scary... it would probably just mean that a whole lot of girls deal with PCOS... 😕
Does anyone else struggle with PMS? Does it hit you guys hard, or are you lucky enough to skip it entirely?
As for me... some months I don't feel a thing, but other times, I guess you could say it hits me pretty intensely. It’s almost like being in a total fog!
I get so irritable, I can't stop snacking, and I often just feel really down and end up crying over nothing...!! 😁 😁 🙂
Hehe... well, at least you don't have to worry about that part! 😁
...though I did hear that it’s often just because of a hormone imbalance. If a doctor puts you on some hormone therapy, your cycle usually settles into a perfect 28-day rhythm!
...as for me... my cycle is only about 21 days long (which worries me a little), and my period lasts maybe 3 or 4 days.
I was wondering if you guys could share how long your cycles usually last and how heavy the flow tends to be?
Do yours always come at pretty regular intervals?
...I've heard there are quite a few cases where women don't get their period for a couple of months at a time... which I guess is a bit confusing to me! 🤷
...I'm really curious to hear about your experiences...
Where should I even begin... if you've already tried those over-the-counter acne treatments and nothing seems to be working, I guess the smartest move would just be to see a dermatologist. Honestly, that’s probably your best bet!!
To get an appointment, you'll just need to ask your primary care doctor for a referral to a specialist, and then you're all set...
Once you're there, they can give you some real professional advice on what steps to take next...
P.S. While you're "waiting" for that appointment, maybe try picking up a Sebamed cleansing bar at the drugstore ($9.75). If you use it to wash your face twice a day with warm water, it might help. The most important thing is making sure your skin is totally clean before you apply anything else...
It might also help to grab a Balein facial scrub from CVS once a week—it's pretty affordable (>)... and I think the Garnier Pure cream is actually quite good too. You could try applying that every day after you've thoroughly cleaned your face!!!!
So, yeah... I think those are some basic steps that might help you feel a bit better!
BTW—try not to squeeze or pick at them because that just makes the inflammation worse—unless you're at a professional esthetician's office where they know what they're doing!!!!
