Diet, workouts, and more? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Robert Adams2 said:I was stuck in the hospital for a while dealing with some health issues, and now I've ended up with this gut. Look, let's get to the point—I'm just a student, so I don't have all day to mess around, but I need to know: is there any way to fix this through diet and exercise? What's the best way to burn off fat on my stomach and elsewhere? Thanks in advance!!

I’m hitting the gym three times a week—half an hour of cardio, half an hour of lifting, then about 15 minutes of stretching. Post-workout, I stick to whey and glucose; it’s been my go-to for muscle recovery, and honestly, I can feel the hardness in my muscles. As for definition? Don't even get me started. My diet is still dialed in: heavy breakfasts—usually high carb—mixed lunches, and protein-heavy dinners. I also try to clock at least 10 hours of sleep whenever my schedule doesn't screw me over. Look, if you want results, consistency is everything. Don't overdo it. You sweat to lose the weight; proteins and supplements are just tools to help you out, provided you don't overdo the dosage and only take them when necessary.

Alright folks... just wanted to share my experience with you all. I started training about a year ago because my main goal was shedding fat. I was 165 lbs at 5'9", so I had a fair amount of belly fat, cellulite, and don't even get me started on my arms. Maybe at my height it wasn't super obvious, and I never really obsessed over it—people were used to me looking "just fine"—but something just snapped in me before summer. I decided I wanted to look better. So, I started slow with a diet and hitting the gym. Nothing crazy, just 3-4 meals a day: a heavy breakfast, a decent lunch, and a light dinner. I cut out all the sweets and sodas, kept bread to a minimum, and took L-carnitine—two capsules a day for about a month. At first, I didn't notice any weight loss at all, until suddenly, I practically halved myself. I dropped from 165 down to 138. All my clothes became baggy overnight and, honestly, I felt incredible. Once summer hit, I swapped the gym for swimming. I’d swim for an hour every single day since I live by the coast—sometimes fast, sometimes slow, just whatever. I ended up losing another 8 or 9 lbs, and frankly, I hated it. I felt way too skinny because I was eating tons of fruit and drinking literal gallons of water. Now that winter is here and college is back in session, I've returned to the gym.
