Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Does anyone have a recommendation for a surgeon at the Trauma Center? I'm looking for someone who really knows their stuff when it comes to hip replacements.
My grandfather said he'll pick the doctor himself once we find the right specialist, then he'll go ahead and schedule the consultation.
Is "Hot Ice" actually a thing? in Health ·
You can find them on various websites, sure. But honestly, you could probably pick them up at some budget spots—think Dollar Tree or even a local Five Below—since those little things go for just a couple of bucks out there. Mind you, they might be a slightly "simpler" version... 😁
Best places to buy and rent movies? in Movies ·
boldeagle3 said:Since you’re already familiar with those KUM video rental spots, could you point me toward their locations? I know there are quite a few scattered around, but I can't seem to pin them down.
I'm usually hanging out downtown, so somewhere in that vicinity would be ideal.
Is that one video store near the Damia—is it the KUM location? Or am I thinking of Spider? Honestly, I haven't a clue.

That’s definitely Spider. Also, over on the West Side—near Tratin or where the old Končarev place used to be—there are a couple of shops advertising a "permanent rental" deal.
I also know the shop right under Baschiere sells DVDs in bundles—like three movies for about $7 or so. It's always an A + B + C combo: you get one blockbuster, one mediocre flick, and then a third one that is truly bottom-of-the-barrel garbage.
Well, if that's your kind of thing... 😛

The best part—or the absolute worst, depending on how you look at it—is that they changed the ending. In reality, the whole story had a much grimmer conclusion. But hey, that’s just Hollywood commercialism for you...

I thought the movie was decent enough.
It essentially serves as a snapshot of what life looks like in an average developing nation.
And Forest James McAvoy? He absolutely nailed it—he really brought Amin to life. 👍
