Angela Flores76 said:People have already brought this up here. I’ve $1.75 always paid whenever the UPS driver drops off my packages. I never have to pay my local mail carrier, but if it's the guy in the delivery truck—it's always cash. 🤷

Typical... they're just looking for a quick way to grab our cash.😢 thanks for the reply 🙂
Back when I lived in a quiet suburb, I never had to deal with extra fees when my packages arrived. Now that I’ve moved to downtown Chicago, I feel like I’m getting hit with a surcharge every single time the mail carrier shows up $1.75. Seriously, what gives? Who am I even paying $5.00 and why is there this extra $1.75 tacked on? Does anyone know why this happens or how to dodge it? Thanks for any help! 🙂

feel free to tear me apart! I figured it was finally time to just put this out there🙂🙂
I hit the gym and bike for about 4.4 miles a day—though you can't really tell from this photo since it was taken in the morning. My core isn't doing much of anything. 🤣
Happy commenting! 😁

Sophia Nelson67 said:Why use white paper and twine? Why not just use a padded envelope? I got something like that once—this big yellow envelope that showed up like a package. I went down to the USPS, they had me fill out a white slip for the declared value, write the value on the envelope, and ship it...

I did... but when I tried to drop it off, the clerk told me it couldn't go as a package because it'd just get lost in the shuffle. Apparently, it has to be sent as certified mail. 🙂🙂
It had the sticker, the bright paper, and the dimensions 😢
what a total scam...😲

The excuse? Apparently, since it wasn't a box, it was just going to get lost among the other packages. Because clearly, nothing counts as a package unless it's a cardboard box.
If this has already been covered, my bad. I can’t keep up with everything because my signal keeps dropping out and killing my connection...
Can you actually ship something in one of those padded mailers as a package? My local USPS clerk was trying to tell me today that it doesn't count as a package, so I just gave them a little attitude and paid the extra fees for three "certified letters" instead $23...

Maria Peterson5 said:Whenever I head to the Post Office to drop off cash using a standard money order, the fee is usually $1.75. Did you actually get an account number? If not, you’ll probably have to go the money order route, which just sends the funds straight to their home address... Honestly, I'm not even sure which method you're talking about...

Yeah, if it's going to a residential address 😢 there's no way I'm risking getting ripped off... 🙂
Sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere. Can someone walk me through how sending money via the post office works when I only have a name and a home address? What kind of fees am I looking at for an amount of $72, and what's the best way to avoid messing this up? Thanks!🤷
