Name the specific mail carrier, the date, all that stuff. Someone acting like that doesn't deserve to be working the mail.
The only thing that carrier has any right to charge you if everything happened the way you said is $1.75 for delivery. And they can't issue you a receipt, just a confirmation. The bill was already issued by SK and they aren't allowed to double-bill for the same service,
yeah...but I don't even feel like dealing with the headache anymore because this isn't my usual mailman, he's some temp guy... and besides, I don't have any paperwork or anything... anyway, I at least got my $100 back, so whatever. The whole point was just to warn people out there who think online shopping is easy—keep your eyes peeled so you don't fall for this kind of crap....
So I order some books online from SK, and they offer free shipping if you spend over $250. My total was $880, delivered right to my door... all five books showed up within three days... then the mailman rings the doorbell with the package: I hand him a thousand bucks and he hands me back five dollars... when I ask him what the hell the shipping fee is, he tells me it’s a COD fee, plus weight-based postage, plus a $5 delivery charge.... fine, whatever... but he doesn't even give me a receipt before he bolts...
I call up SK to find out why I just got ripped off on shipping, and here’s what they tell me:
They basically said the shipping was already covered at the local post office in downtown Washington, D.C.—so I should take it up with the postal service—because apparently, one in every hundred customers deals with this kind of nonsense... they even told me if the complaint isn't handled, I should just blame SK...
So I head down to the post office... they tell me I'm absolutely right and they aren't calling SK; instead, they contact the mailman and tell him we need to meet up so he can settle this with me... and after some arguing, he reluctantly gives me a $100 refund...
I seriously hate HP!!!
Shout out to the exceptions, though...

this is basically a lesson learned: don't ever touch Cash on Delivery if your gut tells you something is sketchy, though honestly, that’s always a tough call to make... plus, the dude could've just shoved a literal rock in the box and I would've still paid $100 and then I'd be left holding the bag with zero way to fight back...
someone really needs to call this person out publicly so the rest of us know exactly who we're dealing with...
sorry for drifting off-topic
