Yeah, that was exactly what I was trying to figure out, so thanks for clearing that up. 🙂
Look, I’m well aware of how shipping rates work from the sender's perspective, but isn't it actually more expensive in the long run when the customer is stuck footing the bill for the postage upon delivery?
Who is this?
I was wondering if anyone could clear something up for me regarding shipping—if I drop off a certified package on a Friday, is there any realistic chance of it arriving over the weekend, or am I just staring at an empty mailbox until Monday rolls around? Also, since I'm the one buying here, could someone walk me through what the actual cost for a certified shipment sent directly to a customer's billing address would look like? I'm trying to get a handle on what exactly is bundled into that price tag and what kind of coverage I'm actually paying for. 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly; I followed your advice, headed over there, and everything is finally sorted out. 🙂
Lesson learned for next time: just handle your own shipping personally, no matter how much of a chaotic mess your schedule gets. 😁
I am in desperate need of some urgent advice here!
So, I was at the post office earlier today sending off a certified package over to The Gap, and I handed my friend the recipient's address to use. Well, it turns out she completely botched it—she wrote down an incomplete, totally wrong address! This all happened maybe an hour or so ago, and now I'm spiraling a bit. Is there any way at all to get a hold of the USPS to intercept this thing? Can I somehow tell them to fix the address or just hold onto the package until I can get the details sorted out properly?? 😢
I’m hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction here because I’ve been overthinking this for the last hour. I need to ship a small backpack to another city—nothing massive, just a little thing—and my plan was to send it via certified mail through the USPS. Now, I was looking at those large bubble mailers they have, and I can't help but wonder if I could just stuff the backpack inside one of those if it actually fits. It’s well under the 2kg limit, so weight isn't the issue, but rather the geometry of the whole situation. Since a backpack is relatively rigid compared to something soft like a pile of t-shirts or some jeans, do you think it would actually work to shove it into a padded envelope, or am I just asking for a ripped seam and a headache?
