Latest build is 7105?? Wow... I thought 7067 was the one before that—maybe? Anyway, another one just dropped in the meantime... which means RC1 could be coming any day now. Lol. And yeah, there’s definitely a huge risk with those fakes. Personally, I’ve always had good luck with mininova.org—it works every time. If you're downloading something, especially Windows 7, you just check the comments first to see if the file is a dud. That way you know if it's legit. But man, I need to track down this 7105... sounds tempting.👍

The last one is 706x—not sure of the exact number—but you can find all the x68-x84-x32 versions over at www.miniva.org. They're all available for download and they're clean, too—not some modified junk, just pure versions. I'm running build 7057 right now... it's solid. No errors.🙂

vividpilot47 said:quick question..

I installed Windows 7 and everything was running smooth—until one day I step away for a minute and come back to find a bare-bones OS. Everything is gone. All my programs, all my photos—everything wiped except for File Explorer and a few system tools. Just total chaos. No idea how or why. When I tried to run a recovery, it told me the trial had expired, so I re-entered my serial key, but still nothing. It just boots back into a stripped-down version of Windows 7. Any clue what could have caused this?
help plzz ..
Anyway, I just tried reinstalling the CS3 suite and it won't even launch. Before this happened, I could see it in "Add/Remove Programs," but now when I try to uninstall it, absolutely nothing happens.😕

Yeah, I've heard that before... hmm... maybe you grabbed a "bad" version of Windows 7. It happens. If they give you a shady installer, you get whatever they want to give you. Your best bet is to track down a legitimate version of Windows 7 and just reinstall from scratch. Honestly, you don't have much of a choice left.

"Windows Media Player cannot burn The Files. If the burner is busy, wait for the current task to finish. If necessary, verify that the burner is connected properly and that you have installed the latest device driver."

I get this error whenever I try to burn music... it won't work in Nero either, and then when I try using Microsoft, this pops up. Anyone know how to fix this?
My DVD drive is a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-110D ATA DEVICE...
Please help!!

There’s been some chatter about whether this latest build, 7057, qualifies as an RC1 candidate. Some sources claim it is—like mininova.org—while others swear it isn't. Honestly, who can you actually trust when a new version drops every other month claiming to be "better" or "more stable"? I’m running 7057 right now—it’s smooth, no bugs found so far, and everything from games to apps installs without a hitch. Regardless, I doubt we'll see the actual RC1 for another eight months. My bet is on a final release for Windows 7 coming sometime in August or October.

That was my old version—I've moved up to 7057 by now. Honestly, your issue sounds a bit weird... I mean, if the OS installed everything else just fine during setup, why is the mouse acting up? Just grab a new mouse and see if it works 1:1. Or, try installing the driver manually if you can find it—there isn't really another way. Maybe it's just an old driver or something... I don't know for sure.

hmm... which version of Windows are you running? For me, everything worked fine right after installation—unless you're trying to use a mouse from the Stone Age.

I stuck with BS Player for years. Then, about a year or two back, I finally made the switch to GOM Player—best decision I've made since then.

Same here. Honestly, exact same experience. 👍

You can watch stuff without subtitles on > or BSPlayer—whatever. Honestly, Windows Media Player is never going to be "that" player. In my opinion, it would only reach its peak if they actually added subtitle support. Sure, Windows Media Player is versatile—you can record, rip, etc., etc.—but let's face it, it just hasn't carved out a real niche in the market like BSPlayer or > has.

So Jonathan Morris40 was right—stop living in the Stone Age and just grab GOM or, better yet, KMPlayer.

I'm with him. I used BSPlayer back in the day and it worked fine, but GOM is the standard now and it's much more powerful... that's what I'm using. Besides, who even watches movies in WMP anymore?😕

No—it’s gone. They could have patched it out, but this version of Windows just doesn't have it anymore.

Mark Sanchez3 said:From what I've heard, the upgrade goes smoothly—shouldn't be any issues.

Turns out upgrading isn't such a bright idea after all. Dealing with constant internet headaches... the connection just wouldn't cooperate. Everything else worked fine, but the web access was a total mess. I ended up sticking with version 7057—the final build—and it works perfectly now.
Btw, does anyone know if you can actually use anything from "Windows Old"? Like, pulling saved tabs or passwords from Mozilla?

Quick question... am I going to run into issues if I upgrade my PC? Right now I'm running version 7048 of Windows 7, but I just grabbed the latest build, 7057. I really don't want to deal with a clean install—I just did a fresh setup about three weeks ago and I'm not looking to start from scratch all over again. Is it actually safe to just upgrade the existing version? Any chance this messes with the hardware or general performance?
