Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
Yeah, looks like I was the one who totally missed the mark on the plot twist here...😢 Reinstalling everything from scratch isn't going to kill me, so I'll just get on with it. Thanks for the help, everyone...

Alright, here’s the issue I'm running into, just so you can see what I mean visually...

Man, I don't even have a 7600 rtm myself...

I really need some help here, because my laptop is stuck in this endless loop where it restarts itself every two hours on the dot... whenever it happens, I get hit with a BSOD that says "end of nt evaluation period," which is driving me crazy. I was trying to Google a fix, but everything just points me toward doing a totally clean install of Windows 7, and honestly, I’m really hoping there's a way to bypass this without having to wipe everything and start from scratch... if anyone knows a little program or a quick trick to fix this without a full reinstall, I'd seriously appreciate it... thanks.

Thanks so much, turns out it really was those Quick Launch buttons after all... thanks for the help!👍👍

Thanks man, I managed to get rid of that one exclamation point from the HP 3D DriveGuard setup, but now Intel Matrix storage is giving me a hard time... I keep getting this error message saying, "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software—Setup will exit"??
I'm not sure if it's because there isn't a compatible driver for Windows 7 or if there's some other weird issue going on, especially since I successfully installed HP 3D DriveGuard under Windows Vista Business 64-bit without any drama, but this second one just won't budge...😕🤷

If you can't find what you need through Everest, you might have to get a little hands-on and pop the side panel off your case to actually read the model name printed right on the board itself...

I mean, honestly, it’s all because Vista actually brings a ton of solid perks to the table while cutting down on a lot of those old headaches we used to deal with... It really just comes down to what you're looking for, I guess. If you're strictly talking about the aesthetic side of things, then it's purely a matter of personal taste and which interface just clicks with your vibe...

I've got no clue how to go about installing these drivers since I don't even really know what they're actually for on my system, and to make things even more frustrating, I'm trying to run an update but it keeps throwing an error at me saying there aren't any drivers available for it... does anyone have any bright ideas or maybe some advice on how to tackle this mess...🙏
And yeah, I’m looking through Add/Remove Programs on Windows 7 and I just can't seem to find them... does that mean I'm totally missing it, or are they just not there at all...😕😕

So, like I was saying in my last post, I've got... So, I was just looking over the specs on this old HP Compaq 6830s, and man, it really takes me back... It’s rocking an Intel Core2Duo P8400 running at 2.26GHz, which honestly doesn't sound too bad for a machine from that era, especially with 4GB of RAM split into two 2GB sticks... It's paired with a 17" monitor hitting 1440x900 resolution, and there's a 320 GB SATA drive tucked inside for storage. It comes with Free DOS pre-installed, so you'll definitely need to throw an OS on it if you want to actually do anything useful, but it's got the essentials like a DVD±RW DL drive, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a classic 56k modem, and all the wireless stuff you'd expect—802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, and four USB 2.0 ports... Just feels like one of those solid, reliable workhorses from a different time...
Hey, does anyone happen to know how I can get rid of those two random exclamation points showing up under "Other devices" in my Device Manager...

Man, how am I even supposed to install drivers if I don't even know what they're for in the first place? Plus, every time I try to run an update, it just tells me there aren't any drivers available for it... does anyone have any actual ideas on what to do here?🙏
And yeah, I've been digging through the add/remove programs section in Windows 7, but I can't find anything at all... does that mean I'm just looking in the wrong spot, or are they just not showing up...😕😕

Hey everyone, I’m running into a bit of a headache with my Windows 7 setup (RTM 7600.16385)... basically, the installation went super smooth on my HP Compaq 6830s FU 535 ES—which, by the way, I am absolutely loving—but once I booted up Windows 7 and jumped into the Device Manager, I noticed two little yellow exclamation marks sitting under "Other devices." I tried the whole "update driver" routine, but honestly, nothing happened at all... so if anyone happens to have some insight on what those might be or how to fix them, I'd really appreciate it. Cheers
