Probably not. 😁
ruggedhawk20 said:Exactly, we're talking about Ken Tyrrell here.

It’s easy to talk about six-wheelers, but this guy used to build his cars in a backyard shed.

A legend. A real one.

He was a wild one, even back in my day.

ruggedhawk20 said:I wonder what an old-school legend like him would think about this.

Given the black and white scheme and that PIAA branding, I'd bet it's Ken Tyrrell.

It’s a shame we don't see more characters like that anymore—or cars with such distinct design styles.
stormybadger8 said:Not really. Almost everyone—from the mechanics and engineers to the bosses and even the cleaning staff—is British...
There's practically no one German in that crew, and who cares who owns the team?
It’s hard to imagine some guy from Germany calling the shots or fixing a part on Hamilton's car, whereas a Brit tightening bolts on Rosberg's car could easily "forget" to torque something correctly.😬
Just think back to Abu Dhabi 2014. It wasn't that long ago.😉
Sure, Rosberg didn't have a chance regardless, but it's just as likely that those British mechanics handed him a technical failure on a silver platter for free.😁

The German pays, the German runs things.

He certainly did. 😒

I just don't get why there's such a sudden influx of women lately? Danica Patrick, Lynne Wilmot, and now even Carmen Jordy—whether they're driving for the main squad or acting as test drivers... where is F1 even headed?? 😵

Danica Patrick—her husband holds shares in the team she drives for.

Lynne Wilmot—her uncle owns the team she manages.

God bless Bernie Ecclestone; he always knew exactly where women belonged.

I have to say, that first white design was much better:

White, featuring that perfectly integrated red stripe above the visor.

This newer one? Not as much for me:

I don't mind the inclusion of the German flag in the helmet pattern, but there were better ways to pull that off.

He should have just copied Frentzen's design, those thin lines... and honestly, thank God for that.

ruggedhawk20 said:That’s what you call a helmet. That’s how it looks when you can actually afford to hire a decent graphic designer.

Exactly. That’s what happens when you jump from working for a brewery straight into the world of Formula 1.

...

LOL

Formula E offers incredibly engaging racing; even the lack of engine noise can't ruin the experience.

The car swaps are what I find truly ridiculous. 😁

Speaking of today's race—the track looks a lot like Miami Beach🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏, so we should expect a massive pileup in the opening laps.

Who remembers?

The forum remembers!

stormybadger8 said:Hey darkmarlin16, were you even around on this forum back in 2008 or not? 🙂

Correcting an inaccuracy.

I actually declared Sebastian Vettel the successor to Michael Schumacher way back in 2007.

Jason Campbell70 is like Sebastian Vettel—you either absolutely love him or you can't stand him.

There is no middle ground.

steelmaker83 said:Were you too drunk to be sure?

If I started talking now, people would just say I'm bragging.

But this isn't about Magnificent Pilatus... after all, this thread is about another magnificent young man in a magnificent Formula team.

Ah, the symbolism:

Just quoting one of my own posts—sadly from seven years ago:

The undisputed king of Formula 1 and his young successor!🙏 🙏 🙏

And another one from back then:
Jason Campbell70 said:ALONSO IS THE CANCER, VETTEL IS THE ANSWER!

Once we get rid of that Spanish malignancy, we return to the old ways. Let the legitimate heir to magnificent Michael write new brilliant chapters in the story called Ferrari! 🙏🙏🙏

God, what a poster!

My mom's generation is absolutely thrilled about the best driver joining Ford...

Don't bring her up. She's going through quite a bit right now.
She needs to repaint her room, but she can't decide on a color.

William Bennett53 said:True enough—that white helmet is a perfect match for the red car. I just hope they let him keep it without major changes for at least one season. At least he'll be easy to spot. In recent years, that seemed impossible with them switching up helmet designs every other race.

Oh Stevie, that sounds exactly like you. 🙂

Trying to turn Sebastian Vettel into one might be a bit ambitious, but then again—we are Ferrari.

Maybe we can even work some magic on Vettel's helmet.
