Is Lewis Hamilton leaving Ford? in Formula 1 ·
jadeseal7 said:Can't wait for Ferrari to start handing out much-needed reality checks next year once Alonso has made his exit. 👏👏

But what do you think the Tifosi would actually prefer to see?

Ferrari with Alonso acting as a secondary or even third driver...
Or just Ferrari without him, but winning championships?

What a shame.

Without Alonso, Ferrari would have been in real trouble over these last few years.
Just look at the numbers from Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, and it's all pretty obvious.

Also—it’s clear there are really only two drivers worth considering as replacements.
Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.

Hamilton? He’s too comfortable at Mercedes-Benz. That car is basically a space shuttle compared to the rest of the grid, and it likely stays that way for a few more seasons.
He isn't looking to jump ship.

Vettel? Renault is struggling, they don't even have Adrian Newey anymore, and now he’s getting pushed around by young Richard.
It’ll probably come down to a choice between Ferrari and McLaren-Honda.
If Honda doesn't build a monster engine, Vettel goes to Ferrari.

Such a pity.
The dream lineup would be Hamilton-Richard.
Honestly, I'd sign Hamilton-Bianchi right this second.

Actually... maybe Hamilton-Kvyat. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

🤔

It looks more like a decision made by Ferrari than anything he's doing...
So, either he’s demanding a massive pay raise just to mess with them, or they simply don't want him anymore.🤷

2015/2016?

By then, Lewis Hamilton will be the same age Raikkonen is now.
Too old.

Fans already saw that kind of robotic precision this season from Shelov's driver.

In bed. 😍
Formula E in Formula 1 ·
Renewable energy is a joke for fools.

As for environmentalism? I couldn't care less when it comes to Formula 1.
I’d be fine with half the world going up in smoke, as long as they give me decent racing.

Speaking of which, Formula E—interesting competition, plenty of big names, but those tracks...
Those street circuits are garbage; they're going to kill the excitement of the sport.

Regarding the sound, even the lack of it didn't bother me all that much. 😁

Oh, and Prost? Absolute idiot.
A guy supposedly packed with experience across various formulas and different endurance races.
He glances at the right rearview mirror, sees nothing... then panics when he realizes his rival is right there in the left. Pure desperation.
It's obvious he stumbled into racing by accident, riding on nothing but a famous last name.
Just like Villeneuve, Senna, or Rosberg.

Yet, it was also the move that brought massive publicity to Formula E.
It’s a racing incident, sure, but that doesn't mean neither of the drivers involved in this racing incident is at fault.
stormybadger8 said:Man, the situation is pretty much identical...

Almost. 🙂
stormybadger8 said:It’s just your standard racing incident. Two stubborn drivers, neither willing to back down...

One of those two stubborn drivers is well ahead on the racing line, holding his course without any deviation.

The other one? He's trailing far behind, off the racing line, and then suddenly swerves right into contact at the worst possible moment.

Yeah, 50-50.
If this were an isolated incident, you might call it a fluke.

But there's a pattern emerging here, one that traces all the way back to those battles with Nico Rosberg.

Once is a coincidence. Twice might be luck. But a third time? That's something else entirely.

If I were in Lewis Hamilton's shoes, I would have lost my cool with Rosberg a long time ago.
Instead, Hamilton is handling the whole situation with incredible grace.
cosmiccyclist8 said:While that jerk is busy venting on Twitter within the Mercedes camp, let's be real—this was just a racing incident. A lot of noise over nothing. It was a duel where neither side was willing to give an inch. The issue? One driver blinked first, and suddenly everyone’s acting like it's the end of the world.http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/115558

How absolutely shocking and totally unexpected that Toto Wolff and his team would claim we saw nothing more than a simple racing incident today.
Truly surprising.
graniteharbor502 said:yeah

Look, it was basically a drive through at home.
A very minimal drive through at that.

Obviously, there's zero chance of a disqualification (regardless of what stormybadger8 keeps rambling about), but I also don't see them handing out some ridiculous five-second penalty during the pit stop.

As far as goes, they're definitely letting Alonso slide today.
graniteharbor502 said:Alonso.

For what?

Are you talking about that moment during the warm-up lap when he didn't get moving on time?
stormybadger8 said:First off, Alonso should have been handed a DQ right before the start or slapped with some heavy penalty, even if he isn't the one at fault here.

Michael Diaz4 said:Alonso deserved the penalty, but Magnussen didn't... He was just defending his line once; that's how it always goes. Then there's the issue of how they turn a blind eye to Zalons, and who knows what else, while he uses every trick to overtake where there's no room, knowing full well he'll run wide and then claim he was forced out... He needs a tougher penalty. It should be like soccer, where you get a yellow card for diving. They ought to stack up these fake infractions against him and give him a red card—a black flag—and kick him out of the race entirely.

Bias speaks for itself.
Good grief, who am I even talking to? 🤦

Ricciardo is cruising toward his third win of the season, yet this guy still won't stop acting like he knows best.
Michael Diaz4 said:Of course he isn't better, but he's been more successful THIS SEASON. I've already told you how nonsensical your logic is if you applied that same reasoning to Hill and Senna back in '94. Would you really claim Hill was the superior driver over Senna...?😂 You're making the exact same mistake here...

Another flawed comparison from you. 🙂

Senna passed away during the third race, and he didn't even finish either of the two preceding races that season.

Unlike Richard and the scam.
They actually finish races together—today is just the latest example.

Neither of them had technical issues, yet Richard thoroughly slapped that four-time scam.
Just like he's been slapping him all season long.

And nobody cares about excuses.

Except maybe Vettel's fans.
And the fans of the Finnish scam.
They certainly stay busy on that ALO/RAI thread. 🙂
Michael Diaz4 said:Just look at those pit stops. See how much the strategy development helped Ricciardo, while Vettel lost ground because of his pit timing. Everything just fell perfectly into place for Ricciardo...

Sure, everything has been going his way all season long. 😍

Pit stops, motivation, varying tactics, mechanical failures... you guys have listed enough variables to write a whole book.

And if he’s worse than Richard? Well, that’s hardly a coincidence.
stormybadger8 said:The penalty was excessive, even if it wasn't entirely without merit...

If it had taken Alonso another 40 seconds to overtake him in the final standings, Magnussen would have been slapped with a 40-second penalty too.

Really, there's no need to overexplain the logic here.
Michael Diaz4 said:Strategy and pit stops were the deciding factors here. Can't you see the Red Bull drivers were on different strategies? And no, they wouldn't have won if those two heavyweights hadn't collided at the start... Ricciardo capitalized on that, as did Raikkonen... Bottas drove a solid race, while Alonso’s performance was a disaster—just to add more fuel to my critique of your favorite driver... He struggled most against Massa; honestly, he was even worse than Massa...

There you go again, obsessed with Alonso. 😍

How is Vettel to blame for failing to capitalize on the collision between the top two drivers while sitting in third? It's a total scam.
Michael Diaz4 said:So what was wrong with his driving? It came down to tactics and pit strategy, but Vettel drove an excellent race, practically flawless. That move passing the whole pack to fight for fifth was a massive achievement. He absolutely tore through them. You can tell he's the top driver here, a true world champion... Most of them had decent races, except for Massa and Alonso...

A flawless drive, yet the hotshot loses a few spots despite being in a car clearly capable of winning. 🙏🙏🙏

And I see you couldn't help yourself again—had to mention Alonso, didn't you? 😍
