feralhawk71 said:Has anyone actually tried that Hemosens kit? It looks pretty solid since it comes with both the gel and the capsules—I'm just curious if anyone here has used it and could share their experience. Thanks!

Do they actually go away completely, or is the Hemosens kit more about just managing the symptoms (like the swelling, pain, bleeding, etc.)?

crimsongull20 said:When it comes to ointments, I honestly can't recommend the Italian Proctolyn enough. I've tried just about everything out there, but nothing else even comes close to how well it works. I know a few others who feel the exact same way.

Does anyone know how much it costs?

And does the ointment just help ease the symptoms—you know, the swelling, inflammation, pain, and all that—or does it actually get rid of the hemorrhoids themselves?

fadedcanyon89 said:If you're dealing with thrombosed hemorrhoids, you might want to try turmeric. I used to apply a compress every two hours throughout the day—it really helps. Personally, I mixed mine with lard, but olive oil works too. You can find plenty of info on this online. Good luck.

Honestly, it would be better if you just explained the process—since you clearly know what you're doing. 😉

Anyone else seeing those TurboLax commercials popping up on TV constantly?

They claim it helps you achieve "softer and more frequent bowel movements," and apparently, "TurboLax can be used for longer periods as needed."
How much truth is there to that?

Maybe you could give Duphalac a shot? It’s a syrup that works as both a laxative and a stool softener.

Or even some chamomile tea with plenty of sugar—if you do a quick search, you'll see people swear by it for constipation since it can trigger a bowel movement.
Honey in some warm tea might help too—just make sure it's lukewarm, not scalding hot.
Some prunes or figs paired with a glass of warm water could also do the trick.

Jonathan Gray5 said:If anyone is looking for Venalex, you can find it on Craigslist under the name Venalex.
It’s basically the same formula as Daflon, just a bit easier on the wallet.

Does anyone know who actually manufactures Venalex?

Also, what's the standard dosage—how many tablets should I be taking a day?

Jonathan Gray5 said:You should probably grab the larger pack—it’s a much better deal. Plus, if you follow the instructions, you're actually going to need about 36 tablets to get through the initial phase.
The 30-count pack is roughly $33 while the 60-count is closer to $53. Just try it first and see how it goes. I've been taking one tablet a day for about 10 days now, and I think I'll stick with it for another 20 days just to be safe.

On the 30-count packaging, it says
http://www.krenizdravo.com/korisno/u...uputa-o-lijeku
"For the first four days, the patient takes two tablets three times a day, followed by two tablets twice a day for the next three days."
"Duration of treatment: Your doctor will advise you on how long the treatment should last. Do not stop taking this medication without first consulting your physician."

But on the 60-count package, the directions are slightly different. It says
for the first 4 days, take 3 tablets twice a day (3 in the morning, 3 at night),
then for the following 3 days, take 2 tablets twice a day (2 in the morning, 2 at night),
and after that, the maintenance dose is 2 tablets twice a day, pending a doctor's recommendation and check-up.

So, after those first 7 to 10 days, am I supposed to just drop down to one tablet a day? Or should I stay at 4 tablets a day as the 60-count box suggests (2 doses of 2 tablets)?

Does she use it as a topical cream for those varicose veins?
And how long does she stay on them?

Detralex tablets.

Does anyone experience side effects like diarrhea, constipation, nausea, or anything along those lines?

The package insert mentions these are possibilities—but I wanted to check in here with people who have actually taken Detralex before.

Is a 30-count pack enough to actually see some relief—maybe even get them to recede partially—or at least figure out if the pills are doing anything at all?

Or am I looking at needing the full 60-tablet pack to really see results?

How long have you been sticking to one tablet a day?

"Detralex® is a prescription medication available at pharmacies."
Is there any way to pick this up without a prescription?

"Acute hemorrhoidal syndrome:
For the first four days, patients take two tablets three times a day, followed by two tablets twice a day for the next three days."

That adds up to 30 tablets.
So, how should it be taken once those initial 30 are finished—say, if I were to buy a 60-count pack?

Jonathan Gray5 said:Within ten days, you won't even remember they were ever an issue—I hit a fever of 104 degrees once, right when things started swelling and I was worried about blood clots.
If I hadn't been taking Detralex, I probably would've ended up on an operating table.
The swelling just receded completely, almost like the problem never existed in the first place.
Honestly, one box of 60 tablets should get you through the worst of it for a while; after that, you can just take one a day for prevention and stop worrying about it forever. Doctors always preach about eating healthy and loading up on fruits and veggies—but let’s be real, about 90% of them don't even follow their own advice! For me, just staying on top of a probiotic for digestion does the trick.
I actually had an external flare-up recently, and since I didn't have my usual stash on hand, I ran straight to the pharmacy to grab some more Detralex, and everything settled down again immediately.
You can find a 60-count box of Detralex at the local drugstore for around $57. Lately, I haven't been buying that specific brand because I found someone on an online marketplace selling Venalex capsules for much less—they're basically identical in ingredients, so why pay more, right?

So, what's the actual routine for Detralex? Like, how many do you take per day and when?
And how long does a 60-count pack usually last?

Once things have calmed down and the swelling is gone, is it okay to just take one tablet a day for prevention? Or could I even space it out to every two or three days?

Jonathan Gray5 said:Avoid soap at all costs—it just ends up irritating things and drying everything out.
Just stick to water and then apply some ointment afterward.

I’m honestly surprised he didn't just prescribe you Detralex tablets instead.

Do those Detralex tablets actually get rid of hemorrhoids entirely, or do they just help dial down the inflammation?

wiredbison3 said:Would that actually work? I'll give it a shot! Thanks!

Let me know how it goes!

Just make sure you give it a really good shake.
Maybe eat just a little bit of the yogurt from the top—that way you'll have enough room for the oil and all the mixing.

wiredbison3 said:I was in a coma for 6-7 weeks! (not looking great on the outside)
The last 3 weeks have been better, but dealing with bowel movements—which I have to do every single day—is absolute misery!
Did this last this long for anyone else? Creams aren't working, calendula, olive oil, nothing...
How can I help myself? 🤷

Try mixing 3 or 4 teaspoons of flaxseed oil into some yogurt—just a standard small individual container should do fine.

Or, you could start with a bit more at first, then scale it back to 2 teaspoons later on. You'll eventually figure out exactly how much your body needs.

Elizabeth Price85 said:Hi everyone,
I was actually active on this thread about three years ago—back when I had the DG HAL-RAR procedure done. I ended up dealing with some major complications afterward that were never really explained to me properly.
I see that Leslie is still hanging around here too.🙂

In the meantime, my hemorrhoid situation has been about as okay as it can be. But then, toward the end of 2011, I found out I have epilepsy. I’m on quite a few medications now, and unfortunately, they don't play nice with my digestion—which, honestly, has always been a bit of a struggle for me.
Now, I'm pregnant. Since it's considered a high-risk pregnancy, I have to add even more medications to the mix. All of this combined makes maintaining a normal bowel movement incredibly difficult, and I'm struggling with constipation. It actually hurt so much today that I started panicking about them coming back—I know most women deal with constipation during pregnancy, but since I'm only in my first trimester, I'm already feeling the pressure.
I've been taking Donat mg, eating dried prunes, and using magnesium supplements, but clearly, it's just not cutting it.

After my surgery, the doctor assured me that the hemorrhoids wouldn't return.
So, long story short: has anyone else who had the HAL-RAR procedure dealt with a recurrence?

Maybe give Duphalac syrup a try? It's a stool softener and a mild laxative.
It's a really great option.

You can get it via prescription or just pick it up over the counter.
A 0.5L bottle is $20, while the 0.2L one is $17.

For the first couple of days, you'd take about 30-40ml, and once things start moving normally again, you can drop down to a daily dose of 10-15ml.
After that, you might not even need it for a few days. If things get hard again, just take a little more.

You'll eventually figure out which foods trigger things for you, so you'll know exactly when to take it and when to skip it.

Robin Chavez6 said:This time, the hemorrhoids were more painful than ever before. Around day five, they started bleeding—it was scary. I tried using three different kinds of ointments from the pharmacy, but nothing seemed to touch it; if anything, the pain just kept ramping up. I spent those first five days basically bedridden. By the sixth day, I actually had to leave work early because sitting down became impossible. Then, I remembered reading somewhere that plain, unrefined lard can help. Honestly, within a few hours of applying it, I felt so much better. Twenty-four hours later, the pain is completely gone and things are finally starting to subside!! Highly recommend! 🙂

Does the lard actually shrink the hemorrhoids themselves, or does it just reduce the swelling while the hemorrhoids stay put?
There's a huge difference there!

Psyllium husk from the Himalayas can really help soften things up (

Duphalac was a lifesaver for mellowsurfer59 (

I actually got a private message saying that even eating grits helps soften their stool.

It seems like for some people, stuff like grits or cornmeal—whatever you want to call it—works wonders too.

And then there's the "aloe vera Esi regulator probave tablete," which helps others stay regular.
The big question is, though—how long are you actually allowed to use these?
Does anyone happen to know?
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
What are you guys eating to help soften things up?
Or maybe there are some specific (natural) supplements you swear by to keep things moving smoothly?

At the end of the day, dealing with hard stools is usually the root cause behind all those issues—especially when it comes to how hemorrhoids start or get worse.
And honestly, irregular bathroom habits don't help matters either.

Sophia Harris89 said:I took some Hemolex back in June and it actually worked! I had one large internal hemorrhoid and a little bit of an external one.

So, did that one big internal one and the small external one just shrink away after taking those?

Or was it actually more intense than that—like, did you still have one large internal and one external left over after the tablets?

Also, is Hemolex just the new name for Pilex?
http://www.himalayahrvatska.com/proi...x-tablete.html
"Himalaya developed an excellent formula that has been on the global market for years—Hemolex tablets (known worldwide as Pilex)."
