Sorority Row (2009) in Movies ·

It’s just okay, I guess.

The kills aren't anything special, and the resolution is pretty weak. I didn't really catch any humor either.

There are maybe eight kills in the movie, but don't get too hyped—only about three of them actually feel like they have some sort of setup.

I did like how, even though there are about six main female characters who all look ready to take someone out, the killer spends some time picking off side characters too.

Even though the characterization and looks make it super obvious who the "good girl" is and who'll likely survive, she isn't really the focus. Instead, the spotlight is mostly on the so-called bitch, Jessica, who doesn't really live up to that reputation but definitely takes charge of the action.

Three people survive at the end, but I don't really care about any of them. One of the survivors was a total letdown since they were such a minor character, appearing maybe three times in the whole thing.

The cinematography is kind of grainy. I thought it was just a thing at the start, but the whole movie is like that, and honestly, I wasn't a huge fan.

The beginning does a decent job showing the party atmosphere and the crowd, but they should've wrapped up that theme after the first party instead of dragging it out. Also, it feels a bit unrealistic that such a wild party is happening right after that deathly silence.

The killer is just bad. Like, the reveal and the actual motives are terrible. That's basically what makes or breaks a movie like this, and they pretty much failed completely.

The killer has zero identity, looks totally bland, and their scenes pass by way too fast.

You can honestly just skip this one in theaters.

cc..clearly you didn't watch the movie..because it's pretty obvious who the killer is...it's the girl who met an unfortunate end at the hands of her own sisters in the sorority...all because of some lame joke...
