Starting this thread because I haven't seen anything like this anywhere else, and honestly, I just need someone to talk me down before my doctor's appointment...
I ordered a pack on September 10th, and literally two days later, everything went south. I dealt with a nasty infection, weird discharge, an awful smell, and major stomach pains. The discharge and the smell cleared up after a few days, but the abdominal pain won't quit. Then it hit me—about two months ago, I had this terrifying thought that I might have left a tampon in. Now I’m spiraling. I’d happily wait for my checkup if I could just know: what are the odds that if there *was* something left inside, it wouldn't have caused massive issues by now?
It all started when I tried using a Tampax soaked in tea tree oil for the first time. The next morning, after some painful sex, I started wondering if I'd forgotten to take it out. After spending the whole day overthinking it, I figured maybe the pain was just from the tea tree oil being too harsh on my lining? I did get my regular period afterward, and things seemed fine during sex following that, so I assumed I'd just imagined the whole thing.
But lately, I've been dealing with constant lower abdominal pain all day long. I'm praying it's just lingering from the infection, but then I can't even remember if I actually removed my tampon before bed last night. Now the panic is hitting hard.😢
Man, I was really hoping that wasn't part of the equation.. 😢 Now all I have to worry about is some technician at the repair shop deciding the fault is on our end just to dodge the warranty. Everything is completely backwards...
So, I tried poking around in the settings yesterday. I fired up my PC just to get a quick look, but the second it started booting, it died on me. Total blackout. Took it down to the local repair shop, and they’re claiming it's some kind of factory defect. Now they've shipped it off to their main service center, so it'll be out of my hands for at least two weeks. 😢
It actually reminded me of this mess we had at home recently where the circuit breakers kept tripping. It happened right around the time my old rig crapped out on me. As far as I know, the outlet I was using wasn't the issue, but who knows? Maybe someone plugged a space heater into the same circuit in the other room... Is it possible I'm not getting enough juice, and that's what's causing these hardware failures? I don't really know much about electrical stuff, but I'd hate to think I'm the one breaking my own gear.
I’ve been scrolling through these threads, but honestly, it’s the exact opposite of what I’m dealing with—other people's computers are shutting down on their own. We just picked this rig up yesterday, and the kids were shutting it down last night, but then my little guy tells me this morning he couldn't even get it to turn off. So I tested it myself today and yeah:
When you go to Start and hit shut down, the thing dies completely, but then after a few seconds, it just boots right back up on its own. Tonight I’m probably just gonna have to pull the plug and kill the power until I figure out if the hardware is actually busted or if there’s some weird glitch going on. It's running Windows 8.1.
And here's another bizarre thing—this is a totally brand-new PC, yet when I try to log into something like Chase Bank, it already suggests my existing username, just like it does here on the forum...???

I haven't had any stinging or anything like that, but I honestly think I just irritated my lining by using regular soap. I switched to a specific intimate wash because of it. Really hoping it isn't something else going on. 🤷
I’ll quote myself here since I’m starting to get seriously annoyed by this discharge that just won't quit. Today, it felt like it was literally flowing out of me. No gross smells, no itching, and I’ve been using specific care products, but still. It’s never been like this before—to the point where I’m actually starting to wonder if my partner went on a little "side trip" without telling me... yikes. Anyway, lately, it feels more watery than it did at first. Anyone have any clue what's going on?

Matthew Anderson4 said:So, this has been happening for about six months now. I wake up and—bam—completely paralyzed. My whole body just tightens up from the inside. It usually passes in like thirty seconds, but at first, I was freaking out like, "What the hell just happened?" Then I did a little digging online and realized it’s actually pretty common—basically my body lagging behind my brain, not realizing I'm already awake and conscious. It’s happened a few more times since then, always the same thing: can't move, some tingling sensations... though instead of panicking like the first time, I just kind of roll with it and enjoy the "spiritual awakening" vibe. Until just now. That's why I'm posting. I was exhausted, so I laid down thinking I'd grab a quick hour of sleep before getting stuff done. And what happens? I wake up in that half-asleep state, ready to get up, but nope. Nothing. It starts to pass slowly after about half a minute, I'm finally moving my hands and feet, and then suddenly—round two. But this time, it was brutal. The tightening was so intense my tongue went numb and I felt like my lungs were going to explode. I seriously couldn't catch my breath. So yeah, back to feeling like I was meeting my maker.
I feel like a new man now, well, by my standards anyway. But that second round was a whole new level of this "sleep paralysis" phase. Just wondering, is there actually reason to worry here? 🙂
Thank God it didn't happen to me like fifteen years ago.😁 I didn't get any numbness or anything like that. It was just straight-up total paralysis. I was wide awake, fully conscious, but the only thing I could move was my eyes. I kept trying to call out to someone, tried to force my mouth open, but no matter how hard I fought, I couldn't make a single sound. Just a complete, terrifying blackout for a few minutes. Absolutely brutal.😢 Could be some kind of sleep disorder or whatever. If this has been messing with you for months, I’d be you—just head straight to a doctor. Better safe than sorry, right?👍
He he, you're the best!👍 I didn't even think to check there. I'm heading over to my old Verizon inbox right now—honestly haven't logged into that account in months, let alone since the original thread was posted on the forum... But since I never use that email, I never got any SMS alerts or anything. So yeah, problem solved. Cheers and thanks!!!
brighttinker48 said:Maybe someone’s just messing with you through some sketchy SMS gateway service. That might actually explain why the sender's name looks so weird and why we're seeing those random long-ass numbers.
Look, there might be too many digits here for it to be a normal number, but is it actually legit from Reddit? I'll quote the post:
" admin@reddit.com My inbox on Reddit is basically hitting its limit. Just about maxed out. Hey feralowl, Your Reddit inbox is almost full—you've hit 90% of your storage limit. To ensure that you...
The message just cuts off mid-sentence and that’s it. Great. Seriously? My inbox was actually full, too.🤷
So, I just got this weird SMS notification from admin@reddit.com on my phone today and honestly? It feels totally sketchy and impossible. I use mobile data sometimes when I'm away from my computer, but as far as I know, I haven't even entered my phone number into my account settings or anything like that...
The number starts with some random string of digits—not even a standard US number format, it’s way too long for a normal cell number.
Can anyone actually explain what the hell is going on here?😕

I get why you don't want to rock the boat, I truly do—but if I were in your shoes, I’d still insist that he picks up the kids along with their parents. But hey, that's just my two cents.
Now we're getting somewhere. Finally, some actual positivity.👍 I'll try to frame it carefully so nobody takes offense—maybe suggest the older folks accompany him instead—but since you mentioned you were behind the wheel too, I guess I won't spiral out too much.
Thanks for the replies😉 I’d love to do that, really... but back when we were getting divorced, I was tracking every single little thing that went wrong and reporting it all to Child Protective Services. And because of that, my ex ended up stuck in mandatory psychiatric treatment for three years.😲 It was a total nightmare. His family completely cut ties with our kids, and we didn't have any contact for those three years. It absolutely wrecked the children. Now, we finally get along reasonably well, but they’re the type where I have to watch every single word I say, otherwise it’s the same old story all over again. And honestly? You can't even have a basic conversation with them because they take everything as a personal attack.🤷
He was out there getting his driver's license in the States at sixteen, so he wasn't exactly "sick" back then, right? Now he's pushing forty... He seems fine enough for what he can handle, but still... what can you really tell?
I’ve already posted about my ex dealing with schizophrenia. Now, I’m back because I could really use some actual answers or even just a bit of advice. Here's the deal: for the last three years, he’s only been picking up the kids when his parents are right there with him. He drives them back to his place, and that’s exactly how it’s written in the court order—visitation happens only when his parents are present. But lately, for the past few days, he’s started showing up alone to grab them and driving them home by himself. I’m spiraling a bit here because I don't know if letting this slide is a smart move for the long term. Look, he’s a decent driver, but there's a massive catch. He was declared incompetent in court, and his legal capacity to handle business matters has been stripped away. Honestly, he might not even be legally allowed to get behind the wheel, but I don't know the specifics of the law. Anyone out there have some actual, sensible advice?👍

Oh, I get it now. So the disease might not even show up in someone carrying the gene, unless some "switch" gets flipped to activate it? Is that how we're playing this?
granitefalcon9 said:It hardly matters whether it’s passed down from the father or the mother, though it is quite unfortunate that the trait remains so stubbornly hereditary.
😢,yeah, unfortunately. I can only hope they dodge it. Does anyone know if this thing is strictly genetic? People my ex used to hang out with used to claim he was using drugs back in the day and that's why he got sick. Sadly, I can't verify any of that because he and his whole family just straight up deny there's even an illness. I don't know much else. He spent three years at a hospital in Seattle under that diagnosis...
I'm asking about genetics because my kid's dad has schizophrenia—something I didn't realize right away. I read somewhere that the father can't actually pass it on, and that if the mother has it, she's the carrier.😕 I'm assuming that's total nonsense, right?
Austin Ross30 said:I was wondering about the genetics behind this condition—specifically, how exactly are the genes passed down from mother to child? I've read somewhere that there might be some differences depending on whether it's a boy or a girl being born.
cosmicwolf27 said:I was stuck in bed for an entire week because the bleeding was so bad. I have zero clue what caused it.🤷 Seriously, don't even think about going out unless it’s absolutely necessary. Take my word for it. Just imagine if you started hemorrhaging right in the middle of the street? If I hadn't stayed home, I would've ended up in the ER.
Thanks for the replies, ladies. It seems like things are looking up; it hasn't happened again, though I'm still feeling totally wiped out. It crossed my mind that my doctor mentioned a larger cyst on my ovary during my last checkup, so maybe there's a connection there. Once this passes, I'll head back in for a follow-up.
I'm just gonna drop this question here so I don't clutter up the forum with a whole new thread... My periods have always been totally normal—never had a single issue before. But today is day two, and when I woke up this morning, I knew immediately something was off. As soon as I stood up, the bleeding just went crazy. It was heavy, like, scary heavy, and lasted for about half an hour. We're talking "couldn't even use five pads" kind of heavy. It seems to be tapering off now, and I'm really hoping it stays that way because I have stuff I absolutely have to get done today, but honestly? I'm freaking out a little. How dangerous is this? If it settles down, do I still need to go see a gynecologist or what?
