George Cook31 said:Sweet little simps are gay. 😳
quietcrane63 said:Are you really going to deny me that?😁
quietcrane63 said:They couldn't care less about hate speech, taking things personally, or even using decent language. They just want everyone to write exactly what suits them—nothing more than a play-by-play of what they ate for lunch or what chores they finished today.
quietcrane63 said:So—when exactly did everyone realize what the actual issue was? 😁
quietcrane63 said:You all take this forum way too seriously.
Olivia Sullivan68 said:Now that you mention shrimp... my husband and I were actually just discussing how perfect the timing would be for our little one to have some—but apparently, it isn't quite the season at daycare yet... though they'll show up right when we want them to.
I'm doing well—just enjoying time with the family... the girl is counting down the days until summer break, and the kid has about 1,800 questions per hour... my husband grabbed some takeout today, so we've been hanging out...
It’s great—with the exception of those shrimp, which would be welcome any day; I just hope they stay healthy, smart, and happy... and that I do, too.
Maybe pick up a small bouquet for the performance—you know, once everything wraps up.

Olivia Sullivan68 said:Clearly, I’ll need to carve out some time to study astrology. If you claim the birth chart is favorable, who am I to argue?
...so, what's the news with you, Wikiceh?
Olivia Sullivan68 said:So, if I get banned occasionally, will I actually be better informed than someone just standing on the sidelines? ...even though I still don't follow the US news?
Man... I wonder if they'll actually stomach this new version of spaghetti...
Honestly, my own birth chart just flashed through my mind right now
wanderingheron9 said:quietcrane63—my advice is to stick around this chat for a while; give it some time, and you’ll eventually figure out who everyone actually is.
It’s unlikely anyone will have the stomach to recount every single detail of everything that has unfolded over the years—it’s just too much to revisit.
Jesse Howard43 said:My posts regarding Macron and the decline of the West have already been wiped twice. I honestly don't see the point of this thread—it feels aimless. Everyone is just posting random nonsense about caste systems in India, some American guy who hates women, or those Klečavci crowd—but the second you bring up Macron, your post vanishes. : s :rof l:
It seems there is some genuine resentment toward Macron over there. ☕
Jesse Howard43 said:Sisyphus is actually a decent guy at heart—but he’s incredibly easy to clash with. He’s stubborn as a mule and just loves to argue for the sake of arguing, even when there's absolutely no point in it.
Rachel Palmer56 said:Where on earth are you getting 42+ from?🍿?
That’s a pretty compelling figure—really makes you stop and think.
George Cook31 said:I actually liked the old PDF format—and a few of the girls on there. I miss that. Primarily those girls, honestly.
It’s hardly surprising then that on days when I’m feeling better—busy with various projects or, heaven forbid, actually in a relationship—I completely forget about this forum.

Every single subforum ends up getting ruined by overzealous moderation. The only places where I ever wrote anything remotely serious were Philosophy and Football. Aside from those, I think I drifted through five different subforums just hanging out in the chats, only to get kicked out of every single one. At one point, a small group of us moved to some random forum dedicated to aliens, higher dimensions, crystals, and that sort of nonsense, and we just opened a chat there—lmao.
Jesse Howard43 said:Without those specific topics and users who push their own agendas, a subforum loses all its dynamic energy. It becomes predictably boring when the same core group—who basically share the exact same "normie" opinion on everything—just recycles empty rhetoric. But then, of course, that same crowd gets offended easily whenever someone arrives with an "unsuitable" viewpoint, and they quickly band together against the newcomers, whining to the mods to deport or ban these "forum immigrants."

A hero, not a criminal.
We're all Daniel Kelly57... :cheer::cuga:
restlesstiger49 said:As a moderator, you really ought to know that the rule against using two accounts only applies if you're posting within the same sub-forum. You should know that... since you're a moderator. So, how is it possible you don't?
Since we aren't talking about the same sub-forum (this PDF section, right?), you don't actually have any grounds for that. Besides, I can easily find a Nicin PM where she gave me permission to use two accounts on the US site, provided I didn't confuse anyone—which, in my experience, hasn't happened once on the US site.
You still haven't grasped it—people are asking for strict moderation that applies equally to everyone, not double standards where the rules change depending on who is being watched. I highly doubt you're dim enough to miss that; rather, I think you're just playing dumb. It’s much easier to lean on a strawman argument and falsely accuse people of wanting special treatment than it is to actually perform quality moderator work on the US site using consistent criteria for everyone.
Also, this whole attempt to shift the blame onto Mickey Mouse—who apparently bothers everyone (and let's be honest, you aren't so clueless that you don't see what you're trying to do)—is a total wash. He's the "problem" now, along with anyone else who finds the current moderation standards frustrating, instead of addressing the actual group of frustrated trolls and one-liner spammers.
But hey, I won't hold it against you. Given the circumstances...
Maria Cox64 said:I really need to find someone—honestly—but even if I do, it doesn't matter much. Don't sweat it; I won't be bothering you.
goldenorca11 said:European Union:
Sanctions hit the EU hardest when they had to pivot away from their long-time main supplier of gas and oil, which sent prices through the roof.
Prices have stabilized now, so that specific impact has faded.
Ukraine used to produce quite a few auto parts, so even before the war, COVID was already messing with supply chains from that region.
There's no point denying it: sanctions definitely impacted the EU. But look at the scale—the EU is a massive community of 447 million people, while Russia only has 143 million. The EU has three times the population and is technologically leagues ahead of Russia. I mean, Intel has tech that even the US struggles to match!
Russia:
The energy market shift forced Russia to change tactics; they're selling more oil and gas now, but their revenue is lower than before. And they're selling energy to China for basically peanuts.
As for other sanction effects on Russia, they're slow-burning, but you can certainly feel them. They have gasoline, and some people have cash, but what can they actually buy with it?
Either stuff they make themselves or things imported from third-world countries.
They have food and alcohol, but most products made in NATO countries are pretty much off-limits to them. Pretty soon, all you'll see in Russia are Chinese phones and Chinese cars. Remember, Taiwan isn't China.
Russia isn't small, neither in size nor population. They still trade with a huge chunk of the world. The issue is they don't have trade relations with the most developed part of the globe because that's the part that slapped them with sanctions. Most importantly, sanctions don't have to vanish the second the war ends. They can be phased out gradually only once it's clear Russia is no longer an aggressor dictatorship. The war could end in a year, but sanctions could last decades. Who wins from that? Certainly not the Russians. Sooner or later, they’ll be cursing Putin. The big winner here is China, because if the rest of the world slowly isolates Russia, the Chinese will eventually be getting Russian oil for next to nothing.
#sanctions_dont_work 😁
Sanctions don't strengthen Russia, but they do bolster Putin among a certain segment of the primitive population. Until they lose the war and things in Ukraine normalize, the sanctions stay. Then, even the most stubborn Putin supporters will start asking, "Why do we have sanctions? Why does everyone hate us?"
And the world's answer will be simple: "Pay reparations to Ukraine and hand over the criminals to court."
Small nations haven't been able to resist those pressures. Just look at how Mexico handed over Maddox. We'll just have to wait and see how much longer Putin stays at the helm of Russia if he survives.
