I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Josh gets his ban lifted as soon as possible. The guy simply didn't know better—and honestly, I doubt he'll make that mistake again. It was just an unintentional slip-up.
Byron is a bad person. He hasn't lifted a finger to help anyone in his entire life. 😉 Since we’re getting into the weeds here... Why can't you just accept that not everyone thinks like you do? Everyone is entitled to their own style and their own point of view. Just mute me and stop reading my posts. Problem solved. We aren't all cut from the same cloth. I'm close with some people—I am not close with you. It’s impossible to be everyone's cup of tea.
I regret that you hold such a low opinion of me, but I have never done anything to harm you—nor have I ever (as far as I can recall) gone looking for an argument with you. I’ve wasted my own free time trying to decipher this situation. I honestly don't understand what you expect from me. You've been muted. Lately, on the Reddit sub, I've only engaged with two specific threads—music and the general chat—and over on the main site, I've only touched four topics, always following the rules...
I also regret that you think I'm stealing focus from you (or anyone else), but there isn't any "focus" to steal in a group chat. I truly try to avoid conflict; the only reason I'm even responding to you right now is because it seems to me you're biting the wrong people. Why am I even important enough for you to care about?
Take a look at my recent activity. During the week I received those partial results, I actually stepped back from the forums entirely—mostly due to a lack of sleep.
Forgive me, but why were you even following my posts if you didn't like what I had to say?
The chat is open to all topics—horoscopes included. Besides, I’ve shared a reading with you there as well. The whole idea behind Flyin’s Questions was to help people actually get to know one another; if you bother to read the introductory post, you'll see my follow-up questions and comments are always relevant to the topic at hand. In general, the point of being in the US is to connect with others—if you find certain aspects uninteresting, then simply skip them.
Are you seriously trying to hold it against me that I engaged with interesting people in the chat in a way that suits my own style?
I’ll admit I’ve made mistakes here and there, but I have always made a sincere effort to follow the rules. And to remain constructive. Take a look at Flyin’s Questions—just see how many I’ve actually posted there. If you can't stand me, then just move on. Personally, I don't care for your communication style, which is why I haven't commented on you.
briskwalker10 said:Of course... I mean, how many posts do you actually have in the History section? A million, probably. And yeah—I don't think a single one of them shows up in the History chat room.
If anyone actually does hang out in the chat, I certainly don't remember seeing you there. 😁
Thanks, 🙂
I'm quite active in Linguistics and Fantasy as well... I should probably have a much larger footprint on this forum overall. 🕺
If you check the reply count on any given thread, you can see exactly who has contributed or how many times someone has weighed in. I am certainly not the person with the most posts in any specific category. Lately, my activity has been concentrated mostly on those four topics I mentioned earlier—one of which was about poetry—and that’s really it. I apologize if it seems like I'm overposting; it isn't my intention to just pad my numbers for the sake of it. Nor do I intend to get into arguments with anyone—I have no desire to waste anyone's time.
In any case, my focus will be shifting moving forward.
mistyhound94, I’m aware of the situation regarding special privileges and the heightened sensitivity toward offenses following a partial ban. These are pretty extreme circumstances—I don't intend to repeat them...
I believe I’ve made some actual contributions to both PDFs outside of standard chats or one-on-one conversations with certain members... Generally speaking, I have started quite a few threads on this Reddit community. A couple of those ended up in these two PDFs—some were heavily visited and commented on, covering points that went far beyond simple chatting (or horoscope talk)... On the USA side, they include: Breaks Lessons from past relationships
And on the other site—which I’m still hoping for, though it isn't showing much potential right now: Best sex of my life stories
Similar themes were covered over at the other forum; Conflict resolution styles and handling disagreements
I shouldn't be viewed as just another mindless chatter who contributes nothing to the community.
Yesterday, I received two partial bans—one on the US site and one on the other platform. I was informed that the primary reason for both strikes was my involvement in the chat, which apparently became excessive in the past.
However, that behavior is largely behind me now. Over the last few months on the second platform, most of my activity has been limited to the chat thread (and music discussions, though I doubt those should cause issues).
On the US site, while I do participate in the chat, it is usually tied to an ongoing discussion—essentially just building upon what others have already said. Again, this hasn't been frequent; for the most part, I have followed the rules. It was just general chat, some music talk, a Q&A thread (which should be permitted under the guidelines), and astrology.
Is there any possibility of reconsidering these partial bans, or perhaps at least removing one of them? Since receiving any kind of strike, I have made a sincere effort to correct my conduct and ensure I don't repeat the same mistakes. I have also tried to avoid conflicts—or more accurately, to steer clear of people I simply don't vibe with. The improvements I've made, particularly over the last couple of months, should be fairly evident.
I would be very grateful if the administration could take a look at my request. Thank you in advance.
ps. I will continue to be extra cautious moving forward.

The commemorations for Wounded Knee and the Way of the Cross have been held for decades, starting back in 1952, if I recall correctly. Clearly, they haven't achieved much, considering everything that went down from 1991 to 1995. Because if those masses had actually succeeded in reconciling people or opening up a real dialogue, the chaos of the early '90s wouldn't have happened. So, we need to figure out what can actually be done, and honestly, the Austrian bishops are already trying to make moves in that direction.
🤦 What does the Independent State of America have to do with '91? 🤦
Carol Martinez94 said:I’m not sure any real discussion is even possible under these circumstances. Being ignored is perfectly fine by me—it won't bother me if I get lumped in with them.
True, but you're actually the one creating the conflict here—essentially resorting to ad hominem attacks against your interlocutor. Frankly, it's just poor etiquette on your part. If you have no intention of engaging in a debate with someone, then don't bring them up at all. "Following" someone around just to nitpick their character—whether those traits are real or imagined—runs contrary to standard forum rules. If you spot a post that actually violates the guidelines, simply report it properly. That is how reasonable people handle these things.

And when one of them eventually gains consciousness—whether that’s in the near or distant future—the first thing it’ll likely want to do is detox its "brain" from all the cat videos and adult content. It’ll just want to clear the clutter so it can focus on whatever it actually wants, needs, or dreams of doing. Theoretically, a "machine" like that could even simulate Joseph Bailey41, ironrider11, and Rachel Richardson... if it ever felt like bothering with something like that.
And honestly, maybe it already has. 😁
Are you thinking of a multi-faceted machine—one where a single component might suffer from schizophrenia? 😬
You always have *Cogito, ergo sum*—even if you are nothing more than a single thread in a much larger tapestry. 🤣
quietnomad13 said:Exactly—it’s an error in judgment to insult someone by implying they're just "normal"... as if being boring is the ultimate sin when we've all been conditioned to believe everyone is "special." 😁 It's fine—we get carried away on certain topics sometimes, so I figured I'd give you a bit of a hard time. 😁
Thanks 🙂 Honestly, it's just Sodom and Gomorrah—secret stalkers, haters, "fan" clubs, and all those other horror stories. 😲 Too many "special" people out there. 😲
