Hello everyone, I’m looking for some guidance. I’ve undergone surgery on two Bartholin's glands, and it’s been about three months since my last gynecologist appointment. I had a Pap smear done, and since I hadn't heard back after two months, I decided to follow up with him in person. I wasn't sure if the results were actually clear or if they had simply forgotten to call me. He assured me everything was fine, but he didn't hand over any specific paperwork. Looking at the report, however, I noticed an "X" next to mentions of inflammation and bacteria. Now I'm left wondering: should he have prescribed something? If so, why didn't he? Those little marks next to the diagnoses are really bothering me. Furthermore, I have no idea which specific bacteria we are talking about or how I am supposed to treat them. When I mentioned to him that the discharge was irritating me due to a strange odor, he did prescribe MEDAZOL. To be honest, I'm feeling quite skeptical now; I don't fully trust this report and I'm feeling lost as to whether everything is truly okay. On a side note, I asked him if washing regularly with just warm water could have caused inaccurate or incomplete Pap smear results, and he told me it was perfectly fine and not to worry. Any advice would be appreciated... and THANK YOU in advance.
