Vaginal itching... help! in Women's Health ·
There is plenty to discover and learn on this forum, along with practical advice that can be put to good use, but I find it fascinating how some people feel the need to broadcast their intimate medical symptoms to the entire world for days on end instead of simply making an appointment with their OB-GYN. I am certain there will be comments labeling me as malicious, but let’s be clear: this forum is not a doctor's office. No one here can perform a physical exam or write you a prescription.

I honestly can't believe how much this has spread without you seeing a doctor yet. Do you have any idea what kind of complications can come from letting this go untreated???????? Get to a physician immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Vivian, it’s perfectly normal for things to take a moment to settle after being on the pill. Everyone reacts differently; we aren't all built the same. However, I’m a bit confused by your mention of having PCOS in the past. What exactly do you mean by "before"? I'm not sure how to interpret that—are you implying it's gone now? That's a bit of a larger issue, as PCOS doesn't just vanish overnight. Besides, irregular cycles after stopping birth control is actually a common symptom of PCOS itself. My apologies, perhaps I simply misunderstood your point.🤷

My cycle has always been regular, but I'm already seven days late this month. Pregnancy isn't an option since I haven't been sexually active. I read that stress can cause delays, but I haven't been under any pressure lately. I also recently ran a fever; could there be a connection? What is going on?

I am not entirely sure how old you are, but regardless of your age, it is perfectly normal for a period to be late occasionally. Stress isn't the only culprit; there are a thousand different reasons. For instance, even a minor illness—like the fever you mentioned—could play a role, or perhaps a slight inflammation from sitting in a cold draft or something similar. I could list possibilities all day, but there is really no reason to panic. It is all quite nooooooormally within the realm of possibility. Don't worry about it too much.🙂
