It’s obvious what this week will look like: Windows 7 coming out without all the bloat. Like I said before, it’s the cat and Linux principle, but since it’s Microsoft, someone smart will inevitably complain that it doesn't support some obscure niche thing. Personally, I think OS X is better than Windows too, but I can't actually work in it because there isn't a single decent CAD application for it. The truth is people just hate on Microsoft for no reason, even though we all end up using Windows anyway. Let's not be hypocrites. Vista isn't worse than XP; if anything, XP loves throwing "NOT RESPONDING" at me, which makes no sense—if it's not responding, what the hell is it actually doing? That's its one job! Give me one actual example of where XP beats Vista, rather than just saying "Vista is slow." The only real nonsense in Vista is UAC and a few other services; turn those off and it runs like a dream. Why are they dropping Windows 7? Because they can capture 90% of the market, and that remaining 10% is just catering to idiots who need extra bloat to make their junk hardware work. Ha.☕

I already grabbed the beta, just haven't had a chance to test it yet. It’s going to be way faster than Vista because they’re following the Macintosh approach... we built the OS, now it's on everyone else to provide the hardware and software support. It's easy to build a high-performance OS when you don't try to carry everything. While Vista recognizes 99% of hardware and runs almost every program, that just means it's loading way too many .dll files right at the start, so it's no wonder people complain it's slow. Personally, I've been running Vista x64 for a year now. I wouldn't go back to Windows XP even if my life depended on it... "Not Responding"... lol.
Try running Vista on 4GB of RAM and maybe you'll change your mind, losers. Next time, actually read the system requirements. What's wrong with a 64-bit system? You aren't stuck with a 3.5GB limit, and there are 90% fewer viruses... People are idiots, man. It was the same exact thing when Windows XP launched... "Ugh, this sucks, Windows 98 was king"... smart guys...

It's a solid program, just watch those file extensions. If you aren't careful, you'll end up staring at nothing but a black screen...
(and it costs an absolute fortune 😍)

The parts that actually interest me are the lower resource usage, the ten-minute install, and how fast it boots up. Being able to sync Internet Explorer settings (it doesn't explicitly say, but I'm betting it applies to that useless Messenger crap too) to a Microsoft account online is a nice touch, even if it's a bummer that it only works for Microsoft software. It would be perfect if they figured out how to migrate things like Application data, where most programs dump their settings, like a Mozilla Firefox profile.
