High Androstenedione Levels in Women's Health ·
I probably missed the boat on this thread...
but maybe my experience can help someone out here.
I had the exact same lab results. They sent me on a wild goose chase through endless tests...

It turned out I actually have CAH (congenital adrenal hyperplasia).
I've been on corticosteroids for over a year now, which is the standard treatment for this condition, and everything has stabilized perfectly. My cycle is regular again—it used to be incredibly irregular, happening only once every six months.

The bottom line is... if anyone else is dealing with extremely elevated 17-OHP levels, I strongly suggest you go see Dr. unknown in New York City immediately.
Cracked arm/fractured arm? in Health ·
The issue is that I didn't have any bruising when I first got my cast removed; it actually started appearing a few hours later. Now, they've even expanded, and two more have popped up. :S
Cracked arm/fractured arm? in Health ·
Three weeks ago, I took a fall and ended up in the ER. The diagnosis was a radial head fracture at the elbow.

I wore a splint for a week before moving into a cast for another two. I finally got the cast off yesterday, and everything seemed fine initially, but after a little while, a pretty large bruise started forming on the inside of my arm. Now, I've noticed two smaller bruises appearing on the outside of the elbow as well.

I have full range of motion in most directions, but I can't quite straighten my arm all the way. I assume this is just stiffness from being immobilized and that physical therapy will handle it.

Is this kind of bruising typical following this type of injury, or is it something I should contact my doctor about?
Cortez - any experiences? in Health ·
I am also on long-term Cortez therapy, though for different reasons. I’ve been taking 20mg daily for about a year now, and I haven't really noticed any side effects.
I used to struggle with some hormonal imbalances, but since starting this treatment, my lab results have remained stable.
As for your test results... isn't it strange that they didn't run them after you had been on the medication for a while to see if it was actually working?
