Look, I already told you, the damn thing was stalling out.
the technical term is actually a wireless Wi-Fi adapter
I stumbled upon an old adapter lying around—didn't even buy it—but now, like some kind of freaking miracle, everything is working perfectly. I’m actually losing my mind here. I’ve got a series downloading, my sister is streaming on her laptop and phone, and I’m on my phone, yet everyone is getting lightning-fast speeds. What the hell?! But hey, thanks anyway. I think I’ll just go ahead and grab that adapter just to be safe.
I tried digging around for a thread like this but came up empty. Basically, whenever my desktop is running (it’s hardwired), my phone and my sister’s laptop lose all connection. They show full bars and say they're connected, but everything either crawls along or just dies completely—yet the second I kill the power to my PC, the Wi-Fi is lightning fast again. I've messed with every setting under the sun, then finally realized I could just use those little USB Wi-Fi adapters to get the computer on the wireless network instead. Does anyone know where I can snag one of those and what the damage usually is? I'm over by downtown Washington, D.C., near Central Park, so I'm looking for somewhere local.
Thanks. 🙂
I ended up sticking with 2003 because it loads faster than anything else—and honestly, I’m not one of those people who gets all worked up about a new UI or whatever, plus I’m clearly having a nightmare trying to get 2010 to work.
"The language of the installation pack is not supported by this system," if I remember my typing correctly... yeah, same exact headache with both 2007 and 2010.
Man, I'd kill to actually get 2010 running, so please, someone help me out! 😁
I've got a massive headache on my hands. I'm running Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, and 2010 all at once (and honestly, don't even ask me why that's happening). I finally decided to just stick with 2003, but for some reason, 2007 and 2010 are being total jerks and won't uninstall. I've tried every trick in the book that I know of and nothing is working. Any ideas? Help!
So, I ran that tool to see if my rig could actually handle Windows 7, and honestly, everything looks fine except for the Windows Aero stuff. I just popped in a brand new graphics card, but the screen stays totally static—though everything else runs perfectly smooth, even those super demanding videos. Some tech geek was actually shocked my setup could even play stuff like that without choking. So, does this mean I can go ahead and install it next week without any massive headaches? Any advice would be huge, thanks.
