USB-C Adapter/Hub Recommendations? in Hardware ·
Alright, thanks for the heads-up.
...Anyway, I managed to track down some individual adapters, but I haven't had any luck finding an all-in-one hub yet 😢

Just a heads up though, not every TypeC port on a laptop actually handles display output. Don't get stuck thinking it works when it doesn't.

Yeah, something along those lines... honestly, if I'm dropping this much cash, I better get display output out of it.
I need it for my Macbook, and from what I know, it really needs to support display out.

Something like the ones in these links. I definitely need Ethernet and USB, and having a display output would be nice too... just nothing that breaks the bank.

I'm on the hunt for the cheapest decent adapter or hub I can find around here....

...maybe something similar to this one or this one

I can't seem to track down these specific models anywhere locally, and honestly, I really don't feel like dealing with the headache of paying extra customs fees on an import from the US....

I heard some "rumors" floating around that you can't run HDMI and DVI outputs at the same time. Honestly, I don't see any reason why that would be an issue.

Since I need two monitors, my options are pretty tight. I’m really looking for places that let me pick up gear on those 12-month interest-free installment plans—you know, like Best Buy or similar spots. Your search on some tech site turned up a few cool models, but honestly, paying cash upfront just isn't in the cards for me right now. 😢

Hey guys,

I’m looking to grab two identical monitors since I'm constantly juggling a bunch of apps at once. The big thing for me is getting the contrast and color levels to match perfectly on both screens. My graphics card is running one HDMI, one DVI-D, and one old-school VGA output. I figured I’d just pick up two of the exact same model that have both HDMI and DVI-D ports, but now I'm realizing those basically don't exist anymore! (Or they're outrageously overpriced)

Realistically, how much does it actually matter if I use different digital connections—like hitting one monitor via HDMI and the other through DVI-D? And would I even notice a difference between an analog signal and a digital one?

Honestly, all this nonsense about HD, Full HD, and all these different resolutions and connection types feels like a total marketing scam designed to squeeze extra cash out of regular people like us.
