Maria Fisher46 said:Hi there,
The EEG results aren't really pointing to one specific thing. They show some overactive activity in the temporal lobes, which honestly fits right in with what you've been dealing with—the insomnia, the anxiety, and that recent infection. I don't see any reason to panic or rush into anything based on this alone. Since these findings are pretty vague and could be caused by all sorts of different things, they only really make sense when looked at alongside your entire medical history.
THANKS for the reply!
Hey everyone...
I’ve been dealing with some kind of syndrome linked to electrolyte imbalances. About a month ago, I caught COVID, and ever since, I’ve been under a ton of stress and sleeping terribly. I’ve always lived with a baseline of anxiety and occasional panic attacks, but COVID definitely dialed that up to eleven. On top of that, migraines accompanied by vertigo have basically been my lifelong shadow. Since getting sick, I’ve been feeling this constant pressure in my head, so my neurologist sent me in for an EEG. I was hoping someone here could help me make sense of the results, because the wait time to actually see my specialist is months away. One thing to note: I had a mild panic attack right before the test—could that mess with the readings?
Here’s the report:
Low to medium voltage baseline cerebral activity is present within the local alpha frequency.
Visual blocking response is weakly expressed.
During the recording, there are superimposed sharp waves bilaterally in the temporo-occipital regions.
No paroxysms were observed.
No analogous changes on HV.
Conclusion: Findings show mild bilateral posterior irritative changes.
Can I get in with ironpanther42?
For hypokalemia... what's actually considered the "healthier" route here? Taking Potassium Chloride or Kalinor (potassium citrate)?
My wife was squeezing things out about a year ago, and this weird black sludge just kept coming out... ugh.
http://i43.tinypic.com/11uf528.jpgI’ve had this little black spot on my back for a while now, almost like a tiny mole or something. It isn't really bothering me normally, but if I press on it, it definitely hurts. Anyone have any idea what this could be?
Ignore the redness on the skin; that’s just from using a massage tool that was a bit too rough.
Thanks for the input..
In my first post, I laid out the whole 24-hour urine analysis... that was pretty much all I got back. So, does this mean I need to dodge sugar, salt, and fats!?
And I'm only 36!
Just waiting to see what the nephrologist has to say..
My potassium levels have always been bottomed out, consistently sitting below 3. I started digging around online because my doctor was getting pretty concerned about why it stays so low. I just finished a 24-hour urine test, and here are the results:
Sample Type: urine
Calcium (mmol/dU) 2.26
Phosphorus (mmol/dU) 39.69
Total protein - undetermined
Volume dU (mL) 1,420
Sample Type🙏serum
Calcium (mmol/L) 2.48
Phosphorus (mmol/L) 1.06
Creatinine (umol/L) 80
Creatinine clearance (2.18)
Note: 24-hour urine volume: 1420ml
I've got an appointment with a nephrologist coming up soon to go over this and get a professional take.
If anyone here knows what might be going on or has dealt with something similar, I'd appreciate any insight you can share.
I got told the same thing—apparently my blood is too thick because my red blood cell count is up. Honestly, I’m just sitting right at the upper limit, so it’s not exactly a crisis or anything. Usually, if you actually cross that line into the danger zone, the standard treatment is just therapeutic phlebotomy. Basically, they just drain some blood every few weeks to thin things out enough.

What’s actually the point of going 64-bit? Am I gonna see worse performance if I just stick with 32
Just picked up this laptop
Should I go with the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7?
What’s your take on these results?
http://img190.imageshack.us/i/dsc00529tb.jpg/Is there any chance this points toward some kind of lung issue? Also, just for context, my levels are running a bit high at:
eritrocit 5,85 hemoglobin 178
