I have a few questions regarding certified mail... 🙂
Do you receive a confirmation of mailing, and if the letter gets lost, what kind of compensation is available?

Also, is it possible for me to send a package and pay $6.00, but since she lives in a town without home delivery (according to the USPS website), she has to go to the local post office to pick it up—will they try to charge her $6.75? I ask because when I was at the post office today, the clerk insisted on charging me $6.75 for shipping with delivery, even though that specific town isn't listed for 🤷
thanks..

They don't have to pay a dime if they just don't open the door for the courier.😬 😂

Just to add my own experience to this... I recently bought a vest from a lovely seller and everything seemed fine at first. Usually, my mail carrier just leaves a slip in my mailbox, and I head down to the local post office to pick up my package without any extra fees. But this time, the carrier brought the package right to my door and charged me an additional delivery fee on top of everything else... $1.75I don't think... I wasn't arguing or anything like that... it just felt strange to me... If I hadn't been home, would the package have just sat there at the local post office waiting for me without anyone saying a word? I just don't get it...🤷
