Thanks for the replies, ladies 😉
It’s my first time dealing with this. I’ve heard stories about people getting their packages opened or having stuff snatched right at the Post Office, but man, it’s still a crappy feeling. Honestly, I can't tell if the USPS is shady or if that clerk was just being sketchy. Ugh...
Thanks again.
Got a question...
About a week ago, this girl asked if I could sell her a bag. We agreed she’d just Venmo me for the bag plus a little extra for shipping, since we weren't doing anything tracked.
I shipped it out the day after the money hit my account, but now a week later, she’s hitting me up saying it hasn't arrived and accusing me of scamming her =/
Has anyone else dealt with this? Is the USPS just being slow or what?
I don't even have a wife to convince that I haven't ever tried to pick anyone up, let alone her.
How would you guys handle this...
I’ve sent out tons of stuff through the mail before without a single issue. Everything always arrives on schedule and people are happy.
But recently, I sent something out again—the lady didn't specify she wanted it tracked, just standard shipping—and it's been almost a week and she still hasn't received it.
Now I'm stuck in this spot where she's accusing me of scamming her, which isn't true at all. Every single transaction I've done, whether with the girls here on the forum or outside of it, has been totally fine.
Is it actually possible for people working at the post office to just pocket things and not deliver them, or what?
Honestly, my experience with sales is just dealing with people who act shocked and claim I'm lying when I give them the shipping cost.
First off, the price list is clearly posted online for anyone to download and double-check. Second—and just to be clear—I don't work for HP, so I don't set the rates. They’ve gotten really strict about weighing everything lately; once you put an item in an envelope ($1.75) and factor in the weight of both the packaging and the product, you get a specific total. I sometimes see people comment saying, "I'd only pay this much for shipping," and I just sit there thinking, man, people are something else.
If I were buying something that arrived $33 and the shipping was $13, how could I possibly demand that they credit it toward $40? I just don't get it. It's even clearer to me now how people jump to unfair judgments instead of just doing their own homework and checking the facts before complaining.
