Honestly, even that wouldn't be such a bad move. 👍

When an agent says "we'll take care of it," it usually means absolutely nothing and carries no legal obligation. Handing them a cat doesn't change that reality.
Take a look at the "Pets" PDF and the accompanying document regarding the adoption of stray dogs and cats. You'll find forum members suggesting specific organizations to contact for help with rehoming, depending on which city you're in. If you're in Washington, D.C., there's the ACLU that works with abandoned cats. Otherwise, you just have to be proactive and persistent with your listings.
It’s good that you didn't just toss him out onto the street, but keeping him on a balcony isn't much better. I really hope there's some kind of shelter on that balcony where he can hide from this cold weather until you find him a permanent home...

what is even the issue with this girl!?🙂
I honestly don't see why she couldn't pull it all off, especially after she moved abroad...
I mean, she surely had to be out there hustling somehow (since she clearly wasn't doing anything high-brow) in terms of networking and just rubbing elbows with the right people..
and like Richard Lewis16 said,
with a little bit of luck (which people always seem to forget when they succeed—they act like it was all their own selfish drive when, really, God played a part too),
natural talent, and a massive amount of hard work, I don't see a problem with who she is as a person.
Look, it’s not like she earned a PhD at MIT or even an engineering degree in Chicago... she's just one of those indie/artsy types...
Especially considering she probably only ever showed the "sunny side" of her life...😁
It's common knowledge that in the showbiz industry, everything runs on favors and connections, so I don't see any reason why people over there would be immune to that, frankly...
Besides, ending up in China as a pretty foreign woman carries its own price tag... which is obviously where she can maximize her value..😁
And beyond that, why are we even calling this a success story!?
By what metric is she considered "ultra-successful" (though I suppose she is)? There are thousands of girls just like her..
At the end of the day, everyone defines success differently..
I mean, at this rate, someone might declare Emma Dvornik a massive success just because she lives in London... give me a break...🤣
Or someone could have a kid and suddenly be considered successful... 👏

You know the drill: chemtrails, Flat Earth theories, the moon landing was faked... just keep the list going.
"Municipal services shouldn't be paid for because they aren't mentioned in the Magna Carta. Only King John can impose obligations on landowners, and since he’s dead and the USA isn't his legal successor, feel free to rip up those bills and toss them in the trash."
Richard Jones13 said:I asked over on the Law forum, so I figured I'd just copy my post here too:
Hi everyone!
For a while now, the folks at Bank of America have been really pestering me for all sorts of private info (asking who lives in my apartment, telling me I'm required to report every single change in tenants, etc.). I have my paycheck deposited there and an active mortgage with them.
Honestly, I feel like they already have everything they need (since they approved my loan and I've been paying it off on time for 10 years), and I'm really hesitant to hand over any more personal details unless the law actually forces my hand.
Then yesterday, this email lands in my inbox:
"In accordance with the legal regulations of the United States, all banks in the US, including Bank of America, are required to update the mandatory information for all existing clients.
We would like to remind you that the Bank collects mandatory data based on the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act and its associated regulations, international standards, and in compliance with obligations arising from the international agreement the United States has entered into with the US to implement the US law known as FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act). This data is kept confidential, and the Bank uses it solely for managing your business relationship and fulfilling obligations according to the aforementioned legal regulations."
Am I REALLY obligated to give them this stuff? If not, is there anything specific I can point to so they'll finally just leave me alone?
Thanks so much!
What do you guys think? 😠

The thing is, I’m a citizen of Canada, I’ve got my license from there, and my car has Canadian plates. So, I'm wondering:
1) When am I actually going to get the ticket?
2) Where is it going to be sent?
3) What's the absolute worst-case scenario for the fine?
James Barrett66 said:Hey there, I’m actually looking to get my vision checked out—specifically for a prescription update—but since it looks like I might need a full eye exam as well, I was wondering if anyone could walk me through what that procedure actually entails?
First, I have to swing by my primary care doctor to get a referral for an ophthalmologist, and then I'm wondering if I can just take that referral straight to a private clinic—something like a CityMD or a local specialty center—and have them see me, or if they’re going to demand out-of-pocket payment regardless of whether I have supplemental insurance? Or am I looking at a mandatory trip to the big hospital for this?
Amy Cruz8 said:So, here's the deal, I need to go get my vision checked and updated. I called the eye clinic over at the local community health center, and they basically told me they’re the only ones left in town who take insurance referrals—there used to be three of them, mind you—and they’re fully booked until the end of the year, plus they aren't even taking appointments for the new year until January 1st.😲 😕
I pay for supplemental insurance every single month, yet I can't even get on their schedule, and who knows when I'll actually see a doctor if I wait 4 months?
I'm wondering if there's any way that if the wait times are this ridiculous, I can just go to a private specialist and have the insurance cover the cost?
It's driving me crazy.🙂
