Anyone still running Windows 7?

Is it actually possible to install Windows 7 using a USB drive? If so, how do I go about doing that? My laptop doesn't have a disc drive... thanks in advance

wiredtrucker89 said:it's totally doable! It’s just like if you were installing XP; once the drive is formatted, just pop out the CD, throw in the Windows 7 disc, and reboot the machine!!

And here's the link for that hard drive wiping software!! But honestly, if you aren't an advanced user, don't touch it unless you Google it first!! Make sure you actually learn what it does and how to use it before jumping in!!

wiredtrucker89 said:You won't be able to run the installation that way!! You have to format the drive before you even insert the DVD to boot from it and start the install! You can handle that using a Windows XP setup if you have one on hand. If you don't, I can send you a utility to reformat the hard drive! Just keep in mind that the program wipes everything it finds on any hard drives connected to the PC, so you really need to back up your data somewhere else first!!!
Nicholas Collins68 said:Just boot the computer from a Windows 10 DVD... you can easily format the entire drive if there aren't any partitions set up, or just wipe the C drive if there are... and then just proceed with the installation. As for the "clean disk" part, he didn't mean anything special; he just meant a fresh install, like skipping the beta version entirely and going straight to the RC build...☕
