Just putting this first post in the thread

That transparent look actually looks like something.

It’s just stupid to me... not "stupid" per se, I just don't care. What matters is what's inside. To me, how the case looks is an irrelevant link in the chain. Who knows...
But hey, interesting topic regardless. I'll snap some photos of my rig and post them...😁

Fair point... I don't see anything smart about it.

I actually turned off the power LEDs on my Cooler Master 690 because they were distracting me while playing CoD.

But this guy's build? Terrible. I have no idea how anyone can play anything seriously when that lighting is blinding you.

Total light show. It's like we're at a disco.

Sure, you could make some lights blink for a Christmas vibe, whatever.

My Windows are activated; I already checked that.

But it feels weird because I just grabbed the ISO from a torrent, yet everything shows up as properly activated.
So, basically, I didn't pay for a license, but my Windows are still activated?

Great!

Just checking—if I don't see an evaluation watermark, does that mean my version isn't an Evaluation copy?

It won't just stop working after 6 months or something, right?

Mine says it's registered. I'm wondering if Microsoft basically let Windows 7 slide as freeware during this trial phase, since my installs activated without any drama.

Or is there some catch I'm missing?

By the way, are there actually any games out there that take advantage of—or even utilize—the benefits of a 64-bit OS?

Everything runs fine for me so far (like COD4, COD5, etc.).

I already posted the specs above.

When I'm just idling, the RAM (3GB) sits at about 35% usage.

I got this version of Internet Explorer 8 pre-installed with Windows 7 64-bit, which is why I was surprised by how much it was lagging.
Windows Explorer is doing the exact same thing.

I usually just use Firefox anyway.

I've got 3GB of Corsair at 1333 MHz, which should be plenty enough.

Gaming is fine—never stutters, FPS stays solid.

But Internet Explorer 8 (the one bundled with Windows 7) keeps freezing up, and Windows Explorer does the same thing.

Even when I'm loading an installer, it hangs for a bit and sits there on "not responding" for a while.
It’s not a total disaster, but I expected these basic tasks to be faster.
Everything ran way smoother on XP.

Maybe some programs just struggle with 64-bit?

Grabbed Windows 7 Ultimate from a torrent... yeah, but I grabbed the 64-bit version.

It’s acting up on me a little, lagging slightly.

I've got an i7 920, so it's a solid rig. Could this 32-bit thing be screwing me over?

Anyway, Windows 7 is decent. Way better than Vista.

No LC power around here.

In my opinion, I had one of those, but I swapped it out for a beefier Corsair before I even finished building the rig (back when there was only one PCIe slot available).

It's not like I actually want to buy one, but does anyone know what the deal is with them? I think I saw a 1kw version once.
I was thinking actual airsoft replicas that cost a ton more than this... more like cheap little toys for maybe twenty bucks.
I want to pick up a BB gun but I have no clue where to find one in Chicago!!!
I've only ever seen them out by the coast or whatever.
Does anyone know a shop that carries that crap (and water guns too)???

Thanks, thanks, thanks in advance!!!!😂😂😂🙏🙏🙏

Walnuts are solid (way better than wasting time on wheat or other junk that doesn't pay out), but if I were you, I'd look into raspberries or something similar.
They take off fast after planting—you're looking at a harvest within a year or maybe the next season—they produce year-round, there's no need for all that pesticide spraying, and the margins are great.
The only catch is you'll need to put in the work during harvest.
The yields are massive!
