Maybe your disk is just completely maxed out, I guess you should probably check that first.

I guess you could look up how to handle this in Windows 7 here, if you're interested. 🙄
It actually worked, thanks a ton, Noah Sanchez39! 🙂
One little issue here:
I ended up having to wipe my hard drive because of a virus, so I had to reinstall Windows 7, and I set it up in American.
Now I'm stuck because I have no clue how to get rid of this password it keeps asking for at startup—you know, the user account password.
I have to type it in every single time before I can even get into Windows, and honestly, it’s starting to get on my nerves.
I've already dealt with the headache of formatting the whole disk, so having to deal with this too is just a bit much.
Can anyone tell me how to just remove the password?
Thanks!
Arthur Gonzalez10 said:I'm guessing your user account already has admin privileges, so you probably don't even need to switch to the actual admin account. If that's the case, you can just run this in the command prompt:
net user administrator /active:yes -to enable
net user administrator /active:no -to disable
You could also mess around with the user group settings, but I guess this way is just a bit faster.
Thanks a ton, nofrx!
It worked! 👍
Hey everyone, I could use some help here.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the Administrator login prompt when I'm booting up my Windows 7 machine? Right before I actually get into the system, the Windows logo pops up, and it seems like nothing else happens until I click on it to proceed.
Is there a way to just bypass that step?
Thanks!
First off, thanks Noah Sanchez39 for the info on getting Windows 7 sorted out.
I grabbed the 7290 RTM build yesterday, got it activated, installed all the updates, and honestly, it’s running perfectly so far. :-)
But, I guess I have one more question regarding the subject line here:
There’s this little bit of text sitting in the bottom right corner of my desktop that says:
Windows 7
7290 Evaluation copy.
Any idea how I might be able to get rid of that?
Thanks for the info, Noah Sanchez39!
Here's what I'm running:
AMD Athlon
X2 dual Core Processor 5000+
2.60 GHz, 2.0 GB of RAM
A few more things:
1. Is this Windows 7 RTM version basically the finished product? I'm planning on downloading it tonight, but I suppose I should check if it’s actually worth it or if I might as well just wait for the official release.
2. Also, what exactly does that x86 label signify?
3. How can I tell which version of Windows 7 is the 32-bit one, and I guess I need to know which specific one would actually run on my machine.
Sorry for asking all this, I'm really no expert and I definitely wouldn't want to end up downloading the wrong version by mistake.
Thanks!
I guess it depends on your connection, but how much time does it actually take to download Windows 7 RTM 32-bit? I'm planning on grabbing it later today, so I was just wondering how long it took for you guys.
Could someone maybe drop a link where I can download Windows 7 Ultimate?
Thanks.
And, if I'm reading this right, the full version of 7 is supposed to come out on October 22nd... or am I totally off base?

Well, obviously it isn't an official license. 😂
Which way is actually worth the hassle? Upgrading Windows 7 over Vista, or just going for a clean install?
Look, I guess everyone should just wait for the full version of Windows 7 to actually drop, then maybe these kinds of issues won't even happen... It seems like as soon as any beta comes out, people just rush to install these buggy builds and all that other nonsense immediately...
I’ve got Windows Vista running on my machine and it’s honestly flying by!
I mean, I really don't feel like I need anything else, let alone Windows 7.
