Windows 7

Back when I was running Windows Vista, I relied heavily on TuneUp 2009 to manage my system—cleaning out temporary files, defragmenting drives, and most importantly, managing my startup applications. Now that I've moved over to Windows 7, TuneUp isn't compatible with my current setup, and I’m having a hard time locating those specific settings. I’ve poked around the Control Panel, but frankly, I found myself getting lost in the menus. It feels like my PC is launching a bunch of useless junk during bootup, while the actual programs I want to run aren't starting at all. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks.
