So—I had Windows Vista installed on my C partition, and when I tried installing the Windows 7 Release Candidate onto my D drive, everything just died right at the "completing installation" stage. Then, I tried moving the Vista installation over to the D drive instead, and that went fine—but the Windows 7 Release Candidate still wouldn't budge on either drive! After that, I gave the Windows 7 beta a shot, and it worked perfectly. Does anyone actually know what the catch is here?!:
