@vividangler77 Don't you think you can skip the monitor and other peripherals? If you already have an older monitor, it’s much smarter to put that money toward a high-quality screen instead. You can easily build a solid PC for browsing and movies for just $667. The same goes for peripherals; honestly, having a great keyboard, mouse, and speakers is worth way more to me than the performance gap between an i3 and an i5 processor.
Does it have to be from eKupi? A Lenovo is fine, but you can definitely find a much better configuration at a local computer shop that specializes in custom builds. For instance, depending on what your budget looks like, you could pick one of these options from a site like or
Alternatively, you could just have a crew here put together a custom rig that gives you the absolute best bang for your buck based on your specific spending limit.
That price isn't right. There's zero warranty included, and you can grab a GTX 750Ti for roughly $367. Plus, you won't even need a specialized power supply for that card, which is a huge money saver.
The 5770 isn't worth much more than $30. $133It's basically the same value as a GTX 260. You can grab a GTX 280 for $117 without any hesitation. A GTX 560 should go for about $200. To be honest, those prices in the link look suspicious; I wouldn't dream of doing business with someone like that. 🙂

Anyway, you've picked out some FM2 motherboards that are actually quite pricey, and honestly, the FM2 platform isn't all that great—especially if you're planning on using a dedicated graphics card. For $600, you'd be much better off grabbing an AM3 + X8 processor paired with a decent motherboard, or perhaps an i5 with a standard B85 or a more budget-friendly H81 for the 1150 socket. In my opinion, those are far superior choices compared to an FM2 setup.
If you are absolutely dead set on FM2 and one of those specific boards, then please don't settle for anything less than a 7700K processor: http://www.nabava.net/search.php?tp=0&q=7700K
AMD is going to offer some really beautiful graphics card options soon. Honestly, for every single one you consider, you'll find yourself thinking, $17 why not just pay a little more 😬 to grab something even better?
Dana Baker2 said:At Smarticov, it's between 1450 and 1650, while Joseph Barrett has it for 1200. 😁 So, what should my final asking price be?
Try looking up Smarticov's prices first; if that doesn't work, just use mine. By the way, if you have the energy and time, try selling the components individually. They're still pretty desirable, and you'll likely walk away with more cash that way. 🙂
You really can't go wrong here 😉 plus you have those modular cables on hand, so if you happen to snap one again, you've already got a replacement ready to go 😬
For $167, I'd suggest the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285, though personally, I wouldn't grab it—I'd hunt for an AMD Radeon HD 7770 instead. Or maybe an AMD Radeon HD 5850 or a GTX 460Ti. Honestly, even a 560Ti is close to your budget, and man, it is significantly more powerful. As for the motherboard, this one doesn't support AM3+ or DDR3 (it’s just AM2+), it lacks SATA 3 and USB 3, and there isn't even an integrated GPU 😬 Maybe $83 at most, but definitely nothing higher than that.
I didn't see any mention of DDR2 RAM in the post, but look, if it's standard stuff, you're looking at $17/GB, whereas if it's some high-end 1066 MHz kit, you can expect a bit more 🙂
Radiators aren't expensive, and you really ought to go with a 360mm rad for that specific setup. A single one just won't cut it. I'd suggest at least a 120 + 240mm combo; honestly, that actually looks quite sharp in certain cases where a full 360mm doesn't fit properly.
That little Cooler Master Hyper 212 seems a bit undersized for an Intel Core i7.
It would be smarter to grab the Intel Core i7 now and once you've saved up enough, $67 pick up the Hyper 212 and then upgrade the processor. Until then, the stock cooler should hold up just fine.
Alternatively, if money is tight right now and those parts $67 aren't available, go with the Intel Core i5, the Hyper 212, and some extra RAM, since you're currently stuck with only 4 GB.
It’s completely out of stock anywhere in the European Union right now. It should hopefully be available in a few weeks. The Intel Core i5 will likely cost about 15% more than the 7700K, but you'll get roughly 20-30% better graphics performance along with a slight frequency boost. If you aren't in an absolute rush, it is definitely worth waiting for.🙂
It’s not going to work. Processors with a 266 MHz FSB will be throttled down to 200 MHz on this board, meaning you're only getting 75% of the frequency you expect. http://www.gigabyte.com/support-down....aspx?pid=2437
You really should have gone with an E4X00 series processor instead.
