Win 7 Philips 190 X6 - might upgrade this soon

I'm thinking I definitely need to bump up the RAM, but should I also look into swapping out the graphics card? If so, what would you guys recommend for around $333? $33 + -

You can check here to see the official Windows 7 support details for your Logitech gear (the G5 laser Mouse is definitely supported, you just need SetPoint 4.80), and this link🙂 right here will let you download the correct Windows 7 compatible SetPoint 4.80 installer (available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions)

It works! I ended up installing version 5.20 because that's what they recommended to me. 😕
I really wish they would recommend the latest drivers for my Sapphire Radeon hd 3870 512 mb GDDR4, too. The last ones I found for Windows 7 seem to be acting a little glitchy on my end.

Try going into the settings for your Realtek audio controller and check the box for "disable front panel jack detection."
That should do the trick; it'll allow both the rear and front audio jacks to work at the same time (so you can have headphones and speakers running simultaneously).

Problem solved, thanks!

But now I've run into a different snag. For some reason, I just can't get Logitech SetPoint to recognize my G5 mouse. It shows up perfectly fine in the Windows Device Manager, though—it's listed right there as a "Logitech HID-compliant G5 laser mouse."

I just finished installing Windows 7, but I'm running into a bit of a headache with my sound card settings.

Back when I was using Windows XP, whenever I plugged something into the 3.5mm jack, a little pop-up window would appear asking me what I had just connected. It made things so easy since I usually have both my headphones and my monitor speakers plugged in at the same time.
Now, it seems like I can only use one or the other, because the system is only outputting audio through a single jack.
