Now I just know exactly what I already suspected.
I’m seeing this nonsense all the time—like an open thread where the title is completely unreadable, and then the very first post is just some random link. Or it's just total gibberish.
Today I was checking out the news on Bloomberg and noticed there are about a dozen threads like this active right now—some over on Reddit, others popping up on various niche forums, and so on. What is actually going on here? Who is opening these things, and what's the end goal?
Thanks analogwalker2. I was already aware of how that VirtualDub process works, but I can’t seem to open any MKV rips with it, and I have no clue if an upgrade is even possible. Honestly, I'm not exactly a tech wizard when it comes to software updates. I'm currently sitting on version 1.9.8. I spent some time today downloading various converters, but none of them quite hit the mark like VirtualDub did. I thought finding a substitute would be a breeze, but apparently not. None of these tools offer a direct video stream option; they all force you through a full conversion process. It takes forever and inevitably tanks the image quality. Do you happen to know of any programs that function similarly to VirtualDub?
Best regards
Greetings, everyone.
I’m attempting to watch a movie via the USB port on my satellite receiver (an Infinity 1040), but I’ve run into a bit of a snag: I have the picture, but absolutely no sound. Here are the rip specifications:
Decoder - (MPEG2) KMP Video Codec(AVC1-libcodec.dll)
Format - Major Type: Video - Sub Type: YUY2
VideoInfo2: YUY2 1024X-416, 16 bits
[Audio Info]
Decoder - (0x2000) AC3 Filter for AC3
Format - Major Type: Audio - Sub Type: PCM
WaveFormatEx: PCM(0x1), 48000 Hz, 16 Bits, 2 Ch
My plan is to convert just the audio from AC3 into something like an MP3. I want to leave the video untouched to ensure speed and preserve the visual quality—just the sound needs changing. Is there a specific program capable of this, and what would be the proper procedure?
Look, I’ve already gone through the trouble of recreating the entire official form in Microsoft Excel. I marked all fifty-four input fields, labeled everything correctly—it’s all perfectly organized. But here is the catch: how on earth do I tell the printer to ignore the template itself and only print the specific data I've entered? I am not printing this on a blank sheet; I am printing directly onto the actual pre-printed government document.
I'm running into a similar headache, so I figured I'd drop the question here. How does one go about creating a template—basically just a digital overlay—that can be printed directly onto an existing physical form? To clarify, I need the printer to spit out nothing but the specific data I enter, without any of the surrounding text, lines, tables, or formatting from the template itself. Think along the lines of filling out various bank checks or official invoices. I was considering using Microsoft Excel or Word to pull this off.
