I'm planning to wait and see how that 6800K performs—then I can weigh the price versus performance against the 6700K.

I'm also holding out for the 1070 to see how it stacks up against the 970/980.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to whether the prices actually fit my budget.

I've used this rig for graphics work—mostly 2D, 3D, and video editing. It handles HD perfectly fine, but since clients are starting to demand 4K more often, it's beginning to struggle a bit.

The plan is to pick up a 6700K, 32GB of RAM, and a GTX 970 along with plenty of storage space—so even though it hurts to sell a machine that still works beautifully, it's going on the market.

It'll be easy enough to offload the drives individually. I'm running these Blue ones in a mirror, so maybe someone would find that useful.
