This is absolutely insane that a ref actually gets physically targeted like that during a friendly match. You'd think at least in a non-competitive game people would keep their cool. How are we supposed to expect any level of respect for officials if this keeps happening?
It feels like OpenAI is playing both sides by warning everyone about "rogue agents" while simultaneously using those same fears to drive up their valuation. If they claim the tech is too dangerous to release, they're basically just telling investors how insanely powerful it actually is. Does anyone else think this "safety" narrative is just a clever marketing tactic?

If a $1,500 configuration is going to be outdated in just a few months, then I suppose I won't bother buying it at all—though, naturally, I'll certainly stop by here again before making a final decision. It strikes me as somewhat odd that no one is posting anything current on this thread, given how interesting the topic is. But if that's the case, then fine; I guess I'll see you all in a few months. ☕
Benjamin King2 said:To liven this thread up a bit beyond just listing builds—if anyone happens to stumble upon a solid component at a sale price, please feel free to drop the link here. I suppose we could make that the first item updated on a daily basis. It probably isn't necessary to constantly churn out new configurations unless there is a significant shift in hardware platforms, such as a new line of motherboards, processors, or graphics cards.
We might categorize the builds into four groups: first, a "home office" setup intended for web surfing, multimedia, and general office work; then three distinct gaming tiers (budget, mid-range, and high-end), though I don't think it's necessary to aim for extreme overkill when discussing high-end builds. The primary focus should be on finding the best value, so components certainly don't need to come from a single retailer; in fact, since the goal is to maximize performance per dollar, mixing and matching is preferred.
I am also including a website that features a vast collection of articles, tests, reviews, and buyer guides for all sorts of hardware, particularly various types of peripherals. It contains quite a bit of useful information: http://www.digitalversus.com/all-products.html
I would ask that no one posts any questions here.
So, I wonder if some expert might be willing to put together those three types of gaming builds? I'm specifically interested in the "HIGH END" option, maybe in the $600-$700 range, because I'm planning to buy something new in a few months and I'm not entirely sure what 😕
I wonder if anyone might be able to help me identify a specific cartoon I vaguely remember. It featured tomatoes that were essentially mobsters. This was back around '98; I think my brother was busy watching Cartoon Network while I was scrolling through PBS—or maybe that wasn't quite right, I can't be entirely certain. I managed to find this on YouTube, but it doesn't seem to be the one I'm looking for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtURoWuzfpE
The main thing I recall is that these tomatoes were organized like a mafia syndicate, even walking around carrying machine guns.. 🤣
I was wondering if anyone might happen to know where I could find the most reasonably priced Ray-Ban sunglasses? If someone could perhaps mention the name of a specific shop, I suppose that would be quite helpful.
In sixty centuries, people will still be debating how Petar - US Army managed to make his way from the States all the way to Devil's Mountain. They'll likely spend ages questioning his motives for even showing up... I imagine there will be endless arguments and heated sessions over it... not to mention 😁
Maybe even a trip to a private island in the Caribbean
I suppose I would bring along a well-behaved dog... and no, I don't mean anything untoward by that, if you catch my drift. I honestly think it might be more pleasant to spend time with a loyal canine than with most human friends, I guess.
KARATE STRIKES ARE FLYING IN EVERY DIRECTION, BUT BRUCE LEE JUST TAKES THEM OUT LIKE THEY'RE NOTHING MORE THAN MOSQUITOES!!!!
Or when someone asks who Bruce Lee was, they just mutter, "He was a great guy." It’s pretty obvious they’re either some small-town amateur or perhaps one of those folks who tried to DIY their electrical wiring and met a tragic end.
I decided to start this thread since I couldn't seem to find one already existing, so... if anyone happens to have an interesting experience they might want to share, please do.
I mean, I think you could probably just Google it; there’s some stuff in there about kickboxing and K-1, but I just couldn't bring myself to sit through it.
If anyone happens to be heading out to the shooting range tomorrow, I suppose you really ought to film it if you go. Please, by all means, make sure someone gets it on video!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏
You might want to head over to Ticketmaster to get the full scoop. They have all the details regarding the attendees listed there, so... double-check it!
